A close family member utilized her as her agent to buy her home, and after closing arranged for Kathleen's husband, Shawn to complete multiple repairs that needed done. She prepaid him $4,000 for various jobs he claimed he would be back to complete, and she never saw him again. She spoke to Kathleen who offered no solution, and when I contacted her myself she told me "once the contract is closed it's out of my hands, you should call him (her husband) about that". I of course did try to call him, left a vm and never heard a word...surpise surprise. I really am floored at the level of unprofessionalism and callousness that it takes to let your husband steal from a client and your only rebuddle is "well I got my commission so not my problem." I even called to speak to her broker about the situation, but that also got swept by the wayside apparently. I would be VERY cautious of working with this realtor in particular and honestly it doesn't speak volumes that the brokerage didn't seem to care either. I'm sure they will just say all of this isn't true to save face, but I just don't want anyone else to end up in the same situation. With so many options for realtors, I would look elsewhere where integrity is more of a priority.
