(tho site did say accepting new patients). They did not offer referrals or any solutions just not accepting. In contrast, I looked up a gyn/oncology in Healthgrade with high rating at Lakeview. They informed me compassionately she only handles after a cancer diagnosis, that I would have to see a regular gyn first, who would refer to after such a diagnosis. she then referred me to a gyn to call. No asking about ins. first. Additionally, I called another primary recommended by my dermatologist since gyn booked til April, and they were extremely helpful and made an appointmen. This whole experience, in my opinion, tells me money, profit more impt. to Dr. Williams than patients. I get that Medicare plans may not be as profitable as private plans, but there are millions of us out here needing quality healthcare and compassionate drs. too.

I looked into this for two reasons. We all reach that age where you no longer hold off going to the bathroom as long as you possible can. It got to the point that if I needed to go I better find a restroom sooner rather than later..."oh, am I going to make it?!" One too many close calls makes it very uncomfortable. The second reason was self gratification. Yes I said it, I'm a widow and enjoy an orgasm VERY much. Sadly, it becomes less frequent when life deals you a hard blow, but it was becoming more difficult to reach that goal on my own! Now, enough was enough! After the O-Shot, which helped with the urgency and I also taught myself not to wait so long to use the bathroom even though I didn't feel the threat of "not making it". And Hallelujah! the orgasms' are so very much better and stronger! Life can still be lonely, but the going is much easier to get going, going, GONE!!! Dr. Schultis has been my GYN for almost 20 years and having these added services in her office are just wonderful. I was instructed to undress and wait in an exam room, only to sit there for nearly two hours because my doctor had been called away to deliver a baby. I completely understand that delivering babies is part of an OB-GYN's job, and I respected that. However, the staff knew the doctor was unavailable and could have allowed me to remain clothed and wait comfortably in the lobby instead of leaving me undressed and uncomfortable for two hours. I gave the practice another chance and later underwent a LEEP procedure with Dr. Hymel. I agreed to allow several students or interns to observe because I understand the importance of medical education and wanted to help. I was cooperative and respectful throughout my care. Unfortunately, my final experience confirmed that the scheduling issues were not a one-time occurrence. I recently moved to Metairie but continued making the 45-minute drive because I valued Dr. Hymel as my physician. Upon arriving for my appointment, I was again informed that my doctor had been called away to deliver a baby. After having my vitals taken, I was told to wait in the lobby or go "shopping at Target" until they called me. I had already driven 45 minutes for my appointment and could not spend an indefinite amount of time waiting again. After waiting an additional 45 minutes past my appointment time, I informed the front desk that I would need to find another provider because this appeared to be an ongoing pattern. The employee then asked for my name, despite having just checked me in moments earlier. I understand that emergencies and deliveries happen in obstetrics. My frustration is not with the doctor delivering babies; it is with the repeated lack of communication, poor scheduling practices, and apparent disregard for patients' time. Unfortunately, after multiple experiences like this, I can no longer recommend this practice.

I was completely shocked to see that the nurse, or anyone had not helped my daughter to get back to the lobby. She could have easily fallen trying to open the door as she also has ataxia. I spoke to the office manager but there is no excuse. This office is not handicapped accessible nor handicap friendly. I doubt that they care but we will never come back here.

I have been receiving BioTE hormone replacement therapy since 2010. I originally started treatment with BioTE founder Dr. Gary S. Donovitz and, over the years, have received treatment from physicians in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and Southeast Florida. After moving to Mississippi, I needed to find a local physician to continue my hormone pellet therapy. That is when I began seeing Dr. Roskos at Camellia City OB/GYN. Before receiving my pellets, I explained my family history of heart disease and told Dr. Roskos that my body naturally produces testosterone. I also explained that my previous physicians either did not give me testosterone or gave me very little because of my individual history and lab results. At my first visit, I received a testosterone dose of 125. Afterward, I began feeling extremely tired and simply did not feel right. When I contacted the office, I was told that I needed a testosterone boost. Because of my concerns, I specifically asked whether bloodwork should be performed to check my hormone levels before receiving a boost. I was told no. When it was time for my regular three-month appointment, I asked again about having bloodwork performed. Again, I was told it was not necessary. At that appointment, I received another round of hormone pellets. After leaving the office, I contacted the nurse again and asked about scheduling bloodwork before my next treatment, which would have been at the end of September 2026. I was again told that bloodwork was not necessary. I continued feeling very tired and unwell, so I decided to see another wellness physician and paid to have a comprehensive blood panel performed. My testosterone level came back at 452, and my hemoglobin was also elevated. The physician who reviewed my results was concerned enough about the elevated hemoglobin and potential clotting risk that I was advised to donate blood no later than the following day. Those results were extremely concerning to me. I subsequently contacted BioTE Corporate to discuss my concerns and the monitoring of hormone levels. Based on that conversation, I understood that bloodwork should be part of monitoring BioTE pellet therapy. When I raised my concerns with Dr. Roskos, I was told that she had been trained differently and that insurance often would not pay for the bloodwork. That did not match my own experience. I have been receiving hormone replacement therapy since 2010 and had not previously encountered an issue with obtaining the bloodwork my physicians believed was necessary to monitor my treatment. Because of this experience, I made the decision to discontinue treatment with Camellia City OB/GYN. I am sharing my personal experience because I want other women receiving hormone replacement therapy to ask questions and be proactive about their care. If something does not feel right, speak up. Ask what you are being given, ask about your dosage, ask when your levels will be checked, and discuss with your healthcare provider what monitoring is appropriate for you. Most importantly, if you are concerned about your treatment, consider getting a second medical opinion.

I called her after a week of being seen and let her nurse know that I was still having hot flashes, so they proceeded to tell me that I needed to wait 2 months before getting bloodwork again. Well as anyone knows that has had HRT it doesn't take 2 months to know whether they have worked or not to get a booster. After calling her multiple times she told me to just go ahead and get my bloodwork done again. My first bloodwork my testosterone levels were 26.3 Units: ng/dL. My bloodwork after her giving me HRT my testosterone levels were 301.5 Units: ng/dL. I called her back and her nurse told me that I needed to make another appointment and she wasn't going to give me a booster. So she wanted me to make another appointment for 365.00. If this isn't malpractice then I don't know what is. This lady needs to have her license revoked and shouldn't be practicing medicine. I would hate to see how she would treat a pregnant woman who was getting ready to give birth. I'm guessing she would tell her to come back in two months!!! She really should make this right, but she isn't . So I would call her a thief. I would give her a 0 but it's not an option. Oh and let me just say one more thing. I have been getting HRT for over 4 years from my primary care physician, but unfortunately she no longer practices

But I know it will help a chica out…read more I give Dr. Ross 5 stars for the easiest and most comfortable exam I've had, pretty much ever, including my favorite GYN, who was one of the best in New York. The question portion of the exam was also the least invasive I've ever had, which is nice, because I prefer to check that stuff off on a form than give verbal answers (ie, "how many drinks do you have per week?" Who is that going to help, really?) Got my pap done in two seconds and then there's that typically awful part of the exam where it looks like an alien is running around in your abdomen, but Dr. Ross made it comfortable enough and damn quick. Nice, right? She is also overall extremely easy to talk to, as mentioned in other reviews. It was also wonderful not to have to wait two months for an annual exam (actually, they had an opening for two weeks away from my call!) The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the whole waiting 45 minutes to be seen by the doctor. I just cannot deal with any waste of my time. There has to be a way for this to improve. At least have magazine options that aren't all about parenting in the waiting and exam rooms.

She is a regular GYN doctor & also does reproductive health & counseling. I'm sure that she will set aside time for a formal consultation or just answer questions as they come. Scheduling is usually not an issue, but be forewarned, she doesn't overbook. I can honestly say, during my appointment times, I've only seen, at the most 2 other ladies than myself. This is great because this means she's taking the appropriate amount of time to see her patients. The staff is very friendly & have the same disposition as Dr Linhuber. Nice two story building, be mindful, her Dr Dentist husband occupies the bottom floor. So take the elevator to the second floor for your visit with Dr GYN Doc Linhuber. Off street parking is limited & parking on the busy West End Street might not be the safest or best thing... but a visit here is worth the hassle of parking.
