After searching for a few months, we found a great place and made our first offer. With her guidance, we were able to close on our first house within a few weeks. We almost gave up because the competition/demands were high and we were expecting our first child in less than two months so we didn't want to stress. It appeared to be the exact same application but now each application fee was $52, which the realtor failed to mention. We were told the original $100 in application fees would be refunded to us. It is now several days later and still no refund. Additionally, our applications were denied but the realtor couldn't give me an actual reason for the denial beyond the landlord picked another applicant. Applying for apartments always feels like a scam with the outrageous application fees but this felt extra scammy!! Please refund our original application fees ASAP.
