We have used Katie multiple times for both maternity and family mini sessions. I have recommended her to my sister (and many others) and my sister has used her twice as well too. My wife and I worked with Katie for our small wedding in Middleburg VA. Katie was THE BEST to work with. Katie arrived early and got started taking photos of the groom and the best man. I took my senior photos in 2016 at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco. Katie is an amazing photographer and I would recommended her to anyone. A-MAZING! My husband and I got married on Sept 20th 2014 in Lodi, Ca. After countless hours of sifting through websites, blogs, portfolios and a lot of sticker shock I finally came across Katie's website! I was SO impressed with her photos and her style of photography. Katie is AMAZING! We found her blog after googling potential wedding venue photos. We requested for a quote and then later met up with her at a local cafe. She brought a few photo albums to show us, and we felt really comfortable talking to her and how down-to-earth she was. I think that out of all the vendors we hired for our wedding, we felt the most connected to Katie as we emailed her an hour later asking her to be our engagement and wedding photographer! Katie is super sweet and patient. She will tell you which poses work best, and she is creative with the usage of props/whatever is available at the location of your shooting. My husband's coworker liked Katie's style so much after she saw our engagement photos that she immediately hired Katie to do their maternity photo shoot! Katie is amazing! She photographed both my engagement session and wedding. I couldn't have asked for a better photographer. We had multiple phone calls before my wedding to discuss details, shots I wanted and day of timeline. Katie had so many practical and helpful suggestions. Day of, she arrived early, had a list of all the shots that were our top priority and made me feel so calm and relaxed. She checked in with me multiple times throughout the day, even showing me test photos of my ceremony as the lighting was tricky and she wanted to make sure she used the right lens/flash to capture the mood. My pictures are so beautiful and Katie was the perfect person to have alongside us that day! Just wow! Katie did my senior portraits, I believe in March. When I first called her to inquire about setting up a session and to ask questions, I knew she would be perfect right away. She was extremely sweet, helpful, understanding, and informative. I got the impression right off the bat that she maintained the perfect balance of professionalism and being casual, fun, and making you feel comfortable. We stayed in contact and throughout the course of time, we set up a date, time, and location. She was very helpful choosing a location as I had no idea where might work. We kept in contact through email and Facebook and she was just awesome. She was always very quick to respond to anything. On the day of the photoshoot, we met at the location and I found her to be very sweet and personable. She found a lot of amazing picture taking spots and was very helpful in posing me (which is AWESOME because I am extremely camera awkward and like lots of guidance!). She worked very hard to make sure that she took tons of pictures and with a huge variety, also paying close attention to what I had mentioned I liked in senior portraits. Very soon after the photoshoot, I got to see my photos. She didn't keep me waiting long at all and she sure didn't leave me disappointed either. I was in absolute awe. I am not always very confident in my appearance and I can usually be pretty camera shy, as I feel I never look good in any pictures. Looking at the pictures Katie took of me, I felt more beautiful than ever. I couldn't believe how amazing they turned out. I couldn't resist showing everybody and posting them everywhere right away. I got incredible feedback from so many people. Everybody loved my photos. I am so proud of those photos. Another thing to mention was what a good deal it all was. We hired Katie to shoot our engagement photos. It is very clear why she had such outstanding reviews. She completely catered to our wants in the style that she shot our poses, as well as coming prepared with several poses which fit perfectly with our locations. She was confident with her abilities, and this showed in the photos. I was also unsure of how the photos would come out being that the weather was less than optimal with lots of wind and fog, but every shot came out better than we even hoped for.
