Katlyn is simply amazing. I first heard about the Itty Bitty Boutique from a friend who is also getting married. After reviewing all the hairstyles she can do and all the advice from her blog, I decided she was the right fit for me. I found there weren't many other hair stylists who give advice and blog. I also haven't colored my hair in 3 years since moving back to VB because I couldn't really find anyone who was a brunette specialist. All the social medial posts give love to blondes (love my blondes) but it was hair to see who could do brunettes. It was getting closer and closer to the wedding so I was scared someone would make my hair too brassy or too blonde. Then after seeing that Katlyn was also a brunette specialist, I thought to myself perfect!! And I'm so glad I trusted by gut. I loved how she took my inspiration photos and gave me her honest opinion. I loved how there are lighter strands, but it still looked like me. Because at the end of the day in wedding photos, I don't want to look back 10 years later thinking who is that person? My hair color enhanced my features but still looked natural. Wedding day. OH MAN. Once again she blew my expectations out of the water. I didn't end up doing a hair trial due to the pandemic and extra expenses just weren't there. She literally made my hair look like my inspiration photo THE DAY OF DEAD ON. No hair trial. I loved how she could tell I wasn't 110% there and read me and asked what I wanted to change. There was this one strand on the back of my head out of place. (Yes I know that sounds ridiculous), but to me I loved how Katlyn could read me rather than what I was saying. That's what I LOVE about Katlyn is that she really listens to her clients likes and dislikes. For example, my cousin never gets an updo because she is self conscious about her ears because they stick out. Katlyn gave her exactly the updo she wanted and for the first time she actually loved her hair up without being self conscious. My mom too. My mom wanted to get waves in her hair but nothing too crazy, just some texture. And man Katlyn DELIVERED. I also went to her on the wedding day to ask her honest opinions about things because I know she always gives it. I'm now forever coming to Katlyn to get my hair colored or styled. FREAKIN BOOK HER!!!!!!!!!! I absolutely cannot write enough AMAZING things about Katlyn. She is a saint truly! I had been following her on instagram for 2+ years and knew I wanted her to do my hair for my wedding. When I messaged her about what I wanted to do for my hair and asked what kind of extensions I should get, she helped me color match my hair with pictures and select the right shade and sent me a link of the hair to buy that she recommended. I showed up to my trial with my hair and she helped talk me through the options that would work best for my hair. I am super insecure about how thin my hair is and I wanted it to look nice and full for my wedding and she did a great job at camouflaging the thinness. When I told her a month before my wedding that my makeup artist cancelled, she jumped through hoops trying to get me covered. She was going to get to the house at 4AM to do everyones hair AND makeup... the girl is a amazing! I was able to find another artist so we could start later in the morning but I still had to get my makeup done at 7AM for my 3PM wedding and before Katlyn left she freshened up my hair and even got her emergency makeup kit from her car and freshened up my face with some powder and setting spray. If you want to laugh and relax while you are in her chair and just know that you will be taken care of and feel stunning on your wedding day... book Katlyn!! Katlyn is LITERALLY amazing. I am so glad to have found her She is literally a miracle worker. She is super honest and just wants to do you right. She is so honest.. but for the better! She wants your hair to look beautiful, and she absolutely cares about the entire picture of you and your hair! I originally had selected the wrong package for my appointment. When I came in, she looked at my hair and recommended we reschedule so she can completely transform my hair.. instead of just doing a temporary bandaid. She got me booked within the next two weeks after that appointment. I came in for my next appointment, which was 4.5 hours of transformation time. Katlyn was so kind, offered me snacks/food/etc. Not to mention.. her chairs are SO COMFY. The shampoo bowl? I almost fell asleep.. it felt like I was laying down on a pillow! Everything about Katlyn and the salon was absolutely perfect. From booking her services all the way until the wedding day communication was on point. She always replied quickly and went above and beyond to answer my questions. After my bridal trial, she ensured I truly loved the look and took my alterations with grace, adding agreement to what I wanted changed. When the big day came, her and her assistant were on-time and even early, to begin the set-up. She ensured each bridesmaid loved their hair and makeup before moving onto the next girl and saved me (the bride) for last. During my hair and makeup, she made sure that all photo-ops could be simultaneously taken, and even had a dance party with us. I met Katlyn years ago when she was working for another stylist. Her energy and positivity was so contagious, that I just had to follow her wherever she went! Her talent is unremarkable. I have used her for styling, color and extensions, and she truly is a jack of all trades. Her bohemian style is absolutely perfect for any bride and I WISH I was able to have her for my wedding!! She eventually styled my hair for my pregnancy announcement photos and it was everything I hoped it would be! More recently, she took my postpartum hair up a notch and we added some awesome blonde balayage! Soon we will be adding invisible bead extensions, and as someone who is well versed in extensions, I can't even tell you how excited I am for this process! Kaytlyn was amazing! She did my hair and makeup for my wedding and it was absolutely gorgeous! I do not wear makeup or do my hair very often so I was worried I wasn't going to look like me, if that makes sense. I did a hair and makup trial and I'am so glad I did. My skin is acne prone and I have a lot of scarring. During the trial we did a full coverage makeup look, and it looked great. I got lots of complements the rest of the day, but it wasn't me. So for the wedding we decided to do medium coverage and it turned out amazing, I even felt like myself! She gave me tips to get my skin ready for wedding day and she is active on Instagram so I got to see lots of other bride's hair and makup looks to get excited. I would highly recommend Katlyn for wedding day hair and makup. If I lived closer she would definitely be my hair gal and I'd probably get extensions too! read more

Katlyn is so sweet and her team is amazing! They were so patient with me, as I had so many questions and my numbers changed many times. They never made me feel bad and ALWAYS made me feel good throughout the entire process. Kaitlyn and her team are amazing! Before the wedding the trial was perfect. Kaitlyn talked me through everything and made changes as requested. Then comes the wedding day. She will fight for her bride. Kaitlyn was fantastic. She made sure to not only give me hair and makeup to last the night but it also survived a pre wedding nap! Kaitlyn stood up to my photographer and asked to give me space. Kaitlyn looks out for her brides in all aspects of their wedding day and goes above and beyond. Katlyn saved my wedding day! After having to cancel my original hair stylist, she was able to travel to my wedding with only a weeks notice and she gave me the perfect hair style (even though we never had a hair trial because of my last minute booking!)
