**July 2026: Wednesday Early Afternoon Visit**…read more I was looking for a beautiful vantage point to admire Sedona's scenery without having to do much hiking and this spot came up in my research as the perfect fit! My friend and I were able to find parking in the lot and walk right up to the top! The chapel itself is very small and probably only fits about 30 people for service, but the gift shop underneath was much larger than I expected. What stood out most to me was the incredible scenery all around: the red rocks, blue sky, and sweeping valley views made it such a memorable place and there were photo-worthy views in almost every direction. The best part was definitely the view outside, since the mountains looked absolutely incredible.

Built into a mountain, you will likely never see a church this unique in your lifetime. You can come and light a prayer candle, have silent reflection, and connect with your spirituality. Note: there is a gift shop downstairs under the church. I almost missed it because there are no visible signs. Worth a browse. Logistically, however, I'm not sure if I would ever do this again. We visited in the late morning (before lunch) on a week day. Parking took over 30 minutes, and presented a bit of an unsafe situation with people blindly backing their cars into a curvy steep hill while pedestrians walked without paying attention. I knew most of the songs. I was also happy that the lyrics were displayed so we could follow along precisely. The worship team played a gospel song at the end of the service. The singers have lovely voices. The pastor is a very authentic, Bible-based individual. The message was especially touching. The message was also clear about a foundational issue. I have no doubt we have a loving God and Father who understands our nature and forgives us. Simple yet profound. I know that we will experience such a good, careful message in the future too. The service followed the Bible very closely and I am happy that this church is so Bible based. The congregants were friendly yet reserved.
