This lawyer allowed the executor to go directly against the deceased's clearly stated wishes. There was no transparency, no disclosure, and no accountability. Requests for information were ignored, and the executor's actions were effectively enabled rather than corrected. For a wills and estates lawyer, failing to provide beneficiaries with the will and permitting an executor to disregard the deceased's intentions is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone involved in an estate especially beneficiaries to be very careful and to seek independent legal advice.

The lawyer handled my closing on my last home & the mortgage for my new home. I thought he did a…read moregood job. I knew from the closing his accounting department was weak, I had to educate them on money transfer possibilities. The disbursements were much higher than estimated - but my experience is that is the norm 2 months after the close, final accounting done, all paid - I received a bill for $399 more. They admitted they omitted certain disbursements - but I had to pay. The rest of us professionals have to give accurate estimates, and stick by our billing - and can't submit supposed added expenses 2 months later. Decided at the time to just live with it, provided my Mastercard - about a month later. Yesterday I received a very "lawyer like email" and the cosigner on my mortgage was copied sating I did not pay. Well, somehow it is acceptable for with the lawyer and his assistant, or accounting to keep messing up and I have to absorb the mental & financial cost. I do not wish this bumbling on anyone. In my business there is an invoice, people pay, if I screwed up my problem. I don';t ever like to feel I am gouged - but I do here. Too bad, he seemed like a nice hard working, competent lawyer, not as intimidating as other lawyers - but all the bumbles are not worth it.
