DR. JASON YEH (pronounced Yay) - Let me take a brief moment to brag about this man. He is amazing,…read moreempathetic, and the best decision we made. Our Background: My wife and I are a same-sex couple. We switched to HFI after working with CORM. We only started at CORM because our insurance covered "Centers of Excellence" with more funds than choosing anything elsewhere ($30k with a COE vs $10k with anything otherwise). We had 1 IVF cycle and 2 transfers (both unsuccessful). My wife was 22 when she first got started and after thousands of dollars, countless medications, and 2 unsuccessful transfers at such a young age, we were becoming discouraged. I have heard of success stories with HFI and our OBGYN recommended HFI, so we decided to look into it and read reviews on several doctors in the facility. In our opinion, it was between Dr. Kim or Dr. Yeh, and with a flip of a coin we decided on Dr. Yeh. 1st MEETING w/ Dr Yeh: When we met Dr. Yeh, he met us with the utmost professionalism. He started by asking about our prior IVF experience and process. After explaining, he told my wife the thing she needed to hear the most and that we didn't get with our prior doctor, "No matter what happened, just know that it was not your fault." It may sound cheesy but after much heartache, it was nice to hear that from another Fertility expert. He also told us the flaws that he saw in the previous treatment, and how he would handle the procedure. My wife was so discouraged from even trying another IVF cycle but Dr. Yeh exerted so much confidence that she agreed to give it another chance. We noticed immediately after signing up how different his approach was. We had the same amount of eggs taken out but more were viable (better quality) this time. Dr. Yeh helped us get pregnant the first try! As of today, my wife is 8 weeks pregnant and everything indicates that baby is growing strong! HFI is huge in Houston so locations shouldn't be much of a problem but this Katy location was great!

The nurses of Dr. Jonathan Kim are nice. I would not recommend him as a doctor though.read more

I had such a frustrating experience at this office, and honestly, I'm still shocked at how…read moreunprofessional the whole thing was. I had an appointment scheduled but was surprised by how high the co-pay was, so I called to see if I could change it to a regular consultation instead of doing the ultrasound. That's when things got really weird. The woman I spoke to sounded annoyed right away and told me I could still see the doctor, but if I changed my appointment, I wouldn't be allowed to talk to them about any of my concerns. No explanation, no medical reasoning just a flat-out refusal. I don't know about anyone else, but every time I've gone to the doctor, I've been able to talk to them about what's going on, and they recommend tests based on that conversation. Apparently, that's not how this place works. They just want you to come in, run a bunch of tests, and move on no actual discussion about your health. When I tried to push back and explain why that didn't make sense, the woman kept talking over me, cutting me off, and acting like I was the problem for even asking. I asked to speak to a manager, and instead of transferring me to someone who could actually help, she sent me to a coworker instead. When I finally got to the manager, she acted like I was making a big deal out of nothing and told me they'd have to "investigate" before addressing it. At that point, I just canceled my appointment because I couldn't trust this office to actually care about my health. I've never been to a doctor's office where they tell you can see the doctor, but you can't talk to them about your concerns. Seriously?? That is NOT how medical care is supposed to work. If you want to be listened to and actually treated like a patient, not just a number for insurance billing, I'd suggest looking somewhere else. And if anyone in charge of this facility or a doctor here is actually reading this review, please do something about your front desk staff. So many people in these reviews have already commented on how rude the woman at the front is, yet when I brought it up, the office manager tried to gaslight me, saying she's never had any complaints before.

The doctor looked over the lab results from my primary reading from my phone and said I needed an ultrasound.. I sat in the chair the whole time while he stood at the door. I was like great lets get in there! No had to schedule. Came back a week later for ultrasound. That experience was fine. Doctor was in surgery but left word with staff that he would call with results after surgery. He did call but it was the next day. 7 months later scheduled appt online for same issue. Staff calls next day to cancel. Then cancelled again on that reschedule. Not willing to wait a month for care that I'm clearly not going to receive

I had an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience at this women's center. I initially…read morecame here for help in getting pregnant, but the lack of communication and incompetence among the staff led to a costly and stressful ordeal. During my first visit, I went through numerous checkups and tests, which in hindsight, I'm not even sure were necessary. They scheduled my next appointment to flush my fallopian tube and prescribed me Clomid pills, which I was supposed to take on specific days leading up to the procedure. However, when I arrived for my scheduled appointment, the staff informed me that I didn't have an appointment on record. This was outrageous, especially since they had prescribed me medication that needed to be taken in preparation for this specific procedure. To make matters worse, they told me the doctor had left for a delivery, so they needed to reschedule. Despite the inconvenience, I tried to be understanding and agreed to the rescheduled appointment. When I returned for the procedure, I had already completed the medication regimen. They charged me almost $600 upfront, but after waiting, the doctor came in and asked why I hadn't shown up on the original date. After explaining the situation, the doctor decided not to proceed with the procedure because it might disrupt a potential pregnancy. She assured me that the payment would be refunded since the procedure wasn't done. I decided to hold the payment for my next visit, but when I called to make the next appointment, I was told I'd have to pay another $60 out of pocket for the same medication. This was their mistake, yet they refused to cover the cost. Later, I received an email stating I would only be refunded around $300, not the full amount I had paid. Apparently, they charged me for an unnecessary ultrasound that wouldn't have happened if the staff had communicated properly with the doctor. This experience has been incredibly disappointing. I've lost money and time due to their errors and lack of communication. And after going through and spending all that money, they suggested I get my husband's semen checked which he did a year ago before I even went to this place and I even told them about it. My husband and I went ahead and did another semen analysis. They told us we have to see a fertility and referred us to the fertility, my fallopian cleaning never took place but they refunded me $300 and change only instead of $600 and after promising me that I'll be refunded completely as the procedure never took place. One more thing to add is, every time I call them, their excuse was short staffed and I'll have to wait for call back, it's very unprofessional for a business to tell a paying customer that, you take that to your manager or HR, not your paying customers. Even when I called for my refund, they took exactly 3 week for my refund. They couldn't do it earlier because their excuse is the person who handles the refunds and writes the cheque, works from home hence the delay, I couldn't believe that they would say all that to their paying customers. The doctor was great, but the incompetence of the staff makes it impossible for me to recommend this place to anyone. Avoid this center if you value your time, money, and peace of mind.
