I stumbled across this place last weekend while in Amish country with some family. All it took for…read moreme was the sign that said "Quilt liquidation" outside. I came in and met Jean. She and her husband are the owners. I was stunned at how many beautiful quilts, throws, and other things they had. Now, if you're looking for authentic Amish-made quilts, I don't believe she carries those. I've recently become infatuated with beautiful quilts and would like an Amish-made one eventually. But until I decide on the one I want, I'm going with a less costly, still very nice variation of an Amish quilt. Jean carries all types: American flag quilts, traditional Amish looking quilts, ring quilts, etc. I will go back and get some more pictures. I previously bought another quilt from a place down the street from here which cost me more! Wish I had known about this place first....but still ended up buying a lovely quilt here! But then she followed me around, complaining about the owners. Then my friend was buying a rag rug and the lady told her to make sure people take their shoes off. My friend said no, she was going to use it for an entry rug. Then the lady said my friend should switch to a black rug. My friend said no, she doesn't use black in decor. The lady said, "what is it that you aren't understanding?" in a scolding tone and then she kept giving my friend a hard time. Finally another group came in asking about patchouli and the lady was like "I have no idea what pa-what is" and started yet another uncomfortable interaction before getting rude again. I've never seen an employee be this weird in a shop. Cool shop otherwise.

The lady who works here is very nice and easy to talk to. It does have the same things as the Sugarcreek location, I just don't get the same feeling I get at the other one. Lots and lots of quilts, jewelry, everything you need to make a fairy garden. Some dragon items but not as much as the other store. In the very back you have Christmas items. We love fairy gardens and one of these days we will make one. I'm sure between the two stores you could find what your looking for. Quilts are beautiful, every design and size. I just don't want to ship things to California. If I lived here I would be getting one. If you haven't stopped by Secret Garden, it's a great store with friendly staff.

Libby is so friendly and welcoming and the entire family was born to entertain! This is in the perfect location downtown Berlin and I'm glad we got to go. Great little novelty shop and fantastic magic show. The seating is first come, first serve. There was a gentleman celebrating his 90 somethingth birthday and his family in attendance, plus another magician named Steve, and a few other families. The fact that other magicians come to watch speaks volumes! They are big on audience involvement, so my son was excited when he got to go on stage, He is a little shy, but I think he enjoyed being up there. No photography during the show, but we did get a little card signed by Mr. Madrikhan himself! My favorite trick was "The Moth". I still don't know how they did it.....And the Ancient Egyptian trick that ended the show- wow! We were blown away. We left with a starter magic kit, a dinosaur, a magnet, and great memories.

He told us a bit of history about the store and proudly let us know that the item I was purchasing (magnet) was made in the USA. There is A LOT of stuff in here. The yard decor and patio furniture were all fairly impressive. Some things were even Buckeyes themed! The leather goods were the other highlight.
