A cut and blow dry will set you back $65 if you have long hair, which isn't too bad. In the scheme of things, Steven Professional is usually a fairly safe and consistent hair salon. This particular Stevens store has recently moved to a new shopping centre complex, which in turn looks very slick and professional. There are massage chairs, plasmas, coffee etc etc. Just don't be too tempted to head towards the beach afterwards or you'll ruin your hair.

The fit out is modern and glamorous but still manages to maintain warmth of character. Situated at the top end of Jetty Road, Glenelg, it is run by the charismatic, ever-smiling Anthony. Romeo and Nathan, the other senior stylists, are equally friendly and helpful. Customer service is excellent. On arrival you are seated and greeted with a warm cup of herbal tea and then taken through consultation on your hair requirements. After the initial consultation, you are then led to have your hair washed in comfortable lie-down chairs, while watching TV on the overhead plasmas if you wish. As well as the overall experience the finished haircut is well executed. Also, they offer an extra service of a free fringe trim in between cuts which is useful. So for technique, service and overall experience I would thoroughly recommend this salon. .

Yep, a rinse and set and she's done until next week, it's like ground hog week over and over again and each time I see her the hair is the same, I feel like giving it a little tug when she's not going to notice just to make sure it's not a wig! (Note: I'll live another day as she'd kill me with the mention of 100 years, so shhhh!). My m-i-n must be a real trend setter as this ain't no blue rinse place either, instead it's a brilliant, hip, award winning hair dresser and a real funky front display. One of the formula's for their success is simple customer service and listening to what the customers want and they have grown so quickly since the owner Sally took the reins 10 years ago. They have about eleven hairdressers working there and are constantly getting new business besides the regulars. The way they're going it'll be a family business for a long time yet with Sally's son being heir apparent in years to come. The salon has won awards as long as your arm and it just goes to show what a great team can do in a small local community setting. So if my mother in law says they're ok then they're ok by me :-)

They saw my hair, took pity on me and within a couple hours, George and team had corrected the horror on my head and replaced it with everything I originally had wanted from the first hairdresser. I felt welcomed, I felt important and was treated like a queen. I walked out of the salon feeling like a million bucks. These two jordanian brothers are the most agreeable, happy men you could ever hope to meet. It is a little difficult to tell them apart, except that Khalid is taller and a lot more talkative (in a good way). They provide excellent old fashioned service with a smile. You can send your man in there to have a traditional barber shop shave and he can come out feeling very pampered - a good idea for a Christmas or birthday present for those hard to buy for men. It is a busy little shop especially on the weekends. Regulars and visitors alike file in here for a $20 haircut using just clippers. How cheap is that! We girls have to spend at least three times that to get our mane clipped.
