They saw my hair, took pity on me and within a couple hours, George and team had corrected the horror on my head and replaced it with everything I originally had wanted from the first hairdresser. I felt welcomed, I felt important and was treated like a queen. I walked out of the salon feeling like a million bucks. A cut and blow dry will set you back $65 if you have long hair, which isn't too bad. In the scheme of things, Steven Professional is usually a fairly safe and consistent hair salon. This particular Stevens store has recently moved to a new shopping centre complex, which in turn looks very slick and professional. There are massage chairs, plasmas, coffee etc etc. Just don't be too tempted to head towards the beach afterwards or you'll ruin your hair.

Yep, a rinse and set and she's done until next week, it's like ground hog week over and over again and each time I see her the hair is the same, I feel like giving it a little tug when she's not going to notice just to make sure it's not a wig! (Note: I'll live another day as she'd kill me with the mention of 100 years, so shhhh!). My m-i-n must be a real trend setter as this ain't no blue rinse place either, instead it's a brilliant, hip, award winning hair dresser and a real funky front display. One of the formula's for their success is simple customer service and listening to what the customers want and they have grown so quickly since the owner Sally took the reins 10 years ago. They have about eleven hairdressers working there and are constantly getting new business besides the regulars. The way they're going it'll be a family business for a long time yet with Sally's son being heir apparent in years to come. The salon has won awards as long as your arm and it just goes to show what a great team can do in a small local community setting. So if my mother in law says they're ok then they're ok by me :-)

They are up to date with what's on trend and have never done a bad job with my hair. The best part? They charge fair prices! I literally pay 1/3 of what I used to pay when getting my hair done at a well known chain close to this particular salon - and I'm going by the prices my former stylist charged 2 YEARS ago. Be prepared that because they charge fair prices they will not spend a lot of time chit chatting with you and work quickly; as you can guess by now they are extremely busy on Saturdays!

They also did a top job on the make-up for a friend's wedding and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for this super important undertaking. It was Taylor, at Be Hair, on Oaklands Rd. Marion. I went along and had a bit of a makeover ie I suggested what needed to be done and said sort of "go for it". The compliments re my hair, have come in thick and fast since that time. One lady in my exercise group recently, just sort of stared at me! It seems it was my haircut, apparently it was "just gorgeous" Thankyou Taylor, there is nothing quite like a good haircut to make a girl feel good.
