Have sent now 3 e-mail on getting regular maintenance done on a used boat I purchase late in 2019…read moreand to this day have not had any response from them. Looks like I'm going to Arnie's in Lawrence.

I will stick with just the facts: 1) Called Nov 2015 for…read moreWinterization Quote: $260 2) Dropped boat off Nov 2015 for winterization. Requested they look at a few other things and call with a price BEFORE proceeding with other work. They were released to carry on with the winterization. 3) Mechanic proceeded with all (winterization and others) work WITHOUT calling me to discuss the additional work. 4) Mechanic called to let me know boat was done (Dec 2015) and my total was now ~$460 5) Talked to Larry and explained that this was unacceptable, he understood and we agreed we would work out the details once I came to pick the boat up. 6) Additional fiberglass work was identified stemming from a previous accident covered by an insurance claim. 7) Insurance company coordinated work with Lakeside and agreed upon a price to preform the work. 8) Work was performed and I was called to say the boat was ready for pick up (Jan 2016). 9) Arrived to pick the boat up. Told my total was now ~$570. 10) Asked for an itemized print out of the charges. I identified that I was being charged 100% of the sales tax for the insurance work on the fiberglass work portion of my bill. I explained that I had already paid my deductible and wasn't responsible for any additional charges on the fiberglass work. Response from Tom: "Insurance companies don't pay sales tax". 11) After tense discussions, manhours were removed from the bill for the additional unauthorized work associated with the winterization and sales tax was removed from the parts ONLY on the fiberglass work. Final bill was ~$430. Further, part of the additional work requested was to troubleshoot why the trim switch on the throttle was non-operable, stern auxiliary switch was still operable. They stated they had installed a butt connector to correct the electrical issue. After repairs were completed and I picked up my boat, the trim switch on the throttle is still non-operable and the stern auxiliary trim switch is now ALSO non-operable. I will have to engage another marine services provided to correct the issue. I don't feel this was handled in a professional manner at all and I will not be returning for additional service or purchases of any kind.

I've come here a few times from KC with kids to fish or rent a boat for a bday or back to school…read morebash. They have everything you could need, good prices, and friendly staff. Renting a pontoon costs some cash, but make it a day and bring your own food/drinks. Everybody loves it! We bring floats and rent the pad as well.

A true midwest Osais! LOVE CLINTON MARINA…read more We started coming to Clinton Marina roughly 7 years ago, back then, it was a nice marina with a good ship store. Wasn't special by any means but it was clean, well taken care of, and had a friendly staff. It was exactly what you'd want out of a lake marina. The ship store had what you needed and made some pretty good pizzas. However, the couple that took over ownership have decided to turn it into a destination and boy howdy have they done a great job. The whole atmosphere has become electric. Yes, it still is VERY well maintained but the changes they've made have been fantastic. The expansion on the back side, is amazing. First Fridays are killer, the ship store is awesome and the pizzas are still off the hook delicious. I hope, as do the new owners, this place turns into the epic getaway that it can be. They're making all the right moves to turn Clinton Marina into a little paradise just outside Lawrence. My only concern is parking. On busy holidays, beware, parking can get a little tough and require a bit of a walk. Outside of the parking lot issue, Clinton Marina is a great little Oasis smack dab in the middle of the prairie.

The last review was 11 years ago! it's time for an update:)…read more I signed up for the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise (LRBC), because my aunt loves it, the thought being it's an awesome experience, sharing something a love one is passionate about together. Let me tell you, I fell in love myself, and was totally hooked on The LRBC, within a few hours of stepping on the ship. The accommodations, food, staff are all wonderful. The cruise is always on Holland America's new ships. My cabin was fairly spacious with a lovely veranda. However, what really made the cruise were the people and the music! Music was going 24/7, and the talent was hot! I was able to dance my heart away day and night. Some nights I never went to bed. It was such an incredible experience, all that was needed was a few hours sleep here, a couple hours of sleep there. I made so many connections and friendships with fellow cruisers. There's quite a few cruisers and artists I've kept in close touch with, since coming off the ship in January. The vibe on the ship is warm, welcoming, and full of heart. I've already booked for January, 2026! One thing to note about booking is: it's almost impossible to get on the boat as a newcomer. The cabins are mostly booked out for the following year cruise, by the time you get off the boat. There are a few cabins that are left, after prior cruisers are done booking. If you want to get on the boat, make sure to sign up for email notifications on the LRCB web page. There will be an email sometime in late March/early April announcing cabins and waitlists to the public. If you get on your computer and refresh the bookings page right as it opens, or call right when the list opens, you may have a chance of getting a cabin, but if not, at least you'll be fairly high on the waitlist. 2025, #17

This Cruise is NOT for you ! You will absolutely HATE being in the Caribbean in January, exploring…read moretropical Islands and basking in the warm sunshine. Also, you will utterly detest the almost 24-hour a day live Blues music that is on this ship - it is just too noisy with the likes of Johnny Winter, Taj Mahal, Dion DiMucci, Keb Mo, Magic Slim, Tommy Castro, etc., etc. And, you will definitely despise hanging out and parting for a week with these same performers into the wee small hours of the night. So for the love of Zeus, please please stay away from this Cruise - I'm begging you !
