This is your local's favorite place. It has been operating for at least 6 years ( I can't quite…read moreremember) now and have grown themselves a group of loyal fans. Not many people who don't live in the neighborhood know about it as it is not on the main thoroughfare. It's located in a patio between at least 3 apartment complexes and accompanied by a couple of other cafes who have chosen to settle in this nice & calm urban harbor. The cafe is almost always full on weekends even though the prices aren't low. Probably because they are a perfect spot for a brunch and if you are on your way biking towards the south Warsaw they are just a place to recharge after or before your ride. They also serve fresh, simple italian food; tramezzini, seafood, salads, pasta, desserts and very good coffee (Vergnano). They are dog and kids friendly ( and have been pioneering that approach since the beginning) and a perfect choice for a family or friends' lunch or breakfast.

The venue is nicely decorated and spacey, but the key here - is the food. The brunch menu is short, but definitely sufficient. Shakshuka I've decided to try was hot and full of flavor, exactly what you need on a weekend morning. Add some good coffee and you shall be satisfied. I keep my fingers crossed so Róg Mysikrólika will succeed despite it's quite poor location. Considering the quality of the food and the number of guests - they have a chance.

Tacos are flavorful and serve on soft corn tortilla, as Mexican culture suggests. Nopales are a delicacy and beans soup tastes like home. The food tasted OK, but it didn't impress me or the people I had dinner with. I ordered a quesadilla and it looked and tasted like somebody made it hours ago and it just got reheated prior to serving. The cheese wasn't melting and stretching like I usually like my quesadillas, and the cheese mix used in it was average. My companions ordered fajitas and I was surprised that some of the provided tortillas were actually a little hard! Overall, I'd say it was okay, but I'd recommend to avoid if you can go to other Mexican restaurants that are better. If you happen to be in the area, give it a go but don't bring your hopes up.
