Beware! Cheap jewelry and no accountability at this store. I got married this year and we bought a total of three rings at this outlet. We spent thousands of dollars. My wedding band had tiny diamonds lined up across the front and I loved it. However, less than six months from purchasing it, a diamond fell out. We brought it back and used our warranty to get it replaced. Two weeks after getting my ring back, another diamond fell out. I want to wear my wedding ring, and I can't because the poor quality of this ring can't keep the diamonds in place! I asked my husband to ask them to exchange it for a plain gold band so I do not have to go back every two weeks to get the diamonds replaced and they said no! They want me to keep wearing their cheap jewelry and keep going back to the store for them to fix their trash. Do not buy rings from them. They do not care about the customer and after all of this. They wanted to charge $5 for a plastic piece to keep my two rings from sliding to the side. Cheap cheap cheap. There's other jewelry stores that take pride in their product. My family and I have been shopping at the Kay Jewelers Outlet in Vacaville, CA for over a decade, always using the same store account and never once had an issue until now. In 2023, we made two purchases assuming they would be processed under the same standard credit terms we've always used. Months later, our monthly payments nearly doubled, and our account balance jumped from around $4,000 to over $7,000. After looking into it, we discovered that the store had placed both purchases on a promotional financing plan which is something we were never offered, explained, or agreed to in any way. Unfortunately, the financing bank they use refuses to help, and Kay Jewelers has given us the runaround at every level from the store employee and manager all the way to corporate supervisors. We've always paid on time and now we're stuck with unfair interest charges caused entirely by a store error that no one is willing to take responsibility for. Extremely rude customer service. They opened a few minutes late, and the employee unlocked and threw the door open with no greeting. I was in to see if they had a band to match my ring. She showed me a few bands. When I asked if there were any other options, she replied with attitude, "Well, what are you looking for? That last one pushed right up against your ring, didn't it?" With so many other jewelers in the area, the business should probably hire employees that can provide friendly customer service. I have been a loyal Kay's customer for years. I recently went to this location to have my wedding rings for a cleaning as they always do the Kay's sales person checked to make sure all the diamonds were in place before sticking into the cleaning machine. As it turned out a few stones were loose and she recommended for me to send it out for repair. I agreed and paid $149 to get the diamond tighten, my ring resized and dipped in white gold. I received my ring yesterday ring sized and refilled in gold like it was brand new. As I was walking out of the store I notice a diamond stone missing. I went back in and pointed out to the sales person and she apologized and said she would send it right back out to be "repaired" again. I will be out of town for the holidays and asked to take it back first week in January and she said it would be okay. This morning two more diamonds are missing. I have had this ring for little over two years now. If this is the product they are selling people I don't recommend anyone to shop at Kay's. I have learned my lesson. read more

I took my ring in to be resized smaller. The size that came back was too small. When I went back to ask that it be made a little bigger, and that I would pay for the work, they try to charge me for the gold. I explained that the gold they took out of the ring they KEPT so why should I pay for the gold to make it a little bigger. The manager was rude and scoff that it wasn't that expensive. But again why should I pay for it when they kept it. Technically that belongs to me. It's been a while now and I didn't want to go through small claims at the time but thought I'd warn people to make sure they get their gold back Incase this happens and make sure the ring fits when you get it back. read more

I "created" this new business page just to warn people to not come here. I think it's a fairly new store given that Yelp doesn't have a page for them already, but it's not even worth coming here. Everything they have is ugly and their supplies are limited/low. I wanted to buy a watch and they only had like ten to choose from. I walked in and waited while the only three workers were with other people. This couple came after me and were helped before my family was. Finally, my mom ended up flagging down this woman and she was seriously a major b!tch. I don't have her name, but you'll probably know her after you speak to her--she's just rude! When we were waiting she was on the phone with another customer who was asking about their gift-card or something like that and I heard her say "I don't understand you. I don't understand why you're asking me that. Well, you should have known when they gave you the card, they were supposed to explain it to you..." Anyways, so I asked to see a specific watch. She took it out and just handed it to me...didn't help me put it on, didn't try and sell it to me by pointing out specific features...laughed when I couldn't unclasp it...twice! Sorry I don't understand how every watch unclasps...some have a button, some you pull...She even rolled her eyes at me when I asked if the watch I wanted had small diamonds around it or if it was another stone, and she said "no, those are crystals" as if I'm so stupid for mistaking the two stones. Previous experiences at the Kay Jewelers at Solano Mall and Arden Fair Mall, all were about the same, not terrible/rude/pushy but just okay, didn't really go above and beyond for the customer, I feel. Mostly dealt with cleaning (free) and picking up a resized ring (6.25 to 5.5), but didn't actually personally make any purchases myself. On this occasion, needed to get an estimated trade-in value on a diamond ring. One other couple in the store was being assisted by a nice Filipino lady, and it took several minutes of perusing before the other associate (blonde) came over to help me. I had the diamond certificate but not any of the original sales receipts, but she explained to me their trade-in and upgrade policy. Basically, if the diamond is in excellent condition, it's worth the original purchase price. For trade in the value of the new item must be at least double the trade in value, which I think is kind of whack. Even if you got something twice as much and then traded in, you'd still be paying the difference. I'd rather have my trade in cover more than half of the cost of the new thing. Then again I'm not the type to see that policy and think, woohoo, what do they have that's super pricey that I want instead? Stay humble, people. Diamonds aren't THIS girl's best friend. We were able to go in the system and look up the original sale dollar amount, so at least now I'm armed with that appraisal. I may take it somewhere else to be traded but will see what the fair market value would be according to the other stores since it was bought at Kay. They probably just melt down the metal anyway, even had a suggestion to reset the diamond as a necklace with my birthstone or something if there were sentimental reasons to keep it. I took my ring to get repairs since the stone fell off from my ring and when they gave me my ring back they had given me a stone that had a completely different color. My ring had a clear store when I bought it and when I picked it up today they had replaced it with and blue stone.. Waste of $300.. Not only that but after showing the sales lady the before pictures of how the stone looked liked she insisted that the blue would wear off and turn clear. We called the Sacramento location and spoke with the manager Nemo, who was on lunch by the way, and told us to head over immediately. We went there and got treated with respect. I'm super disappointed with their products and professionalism. My sister bought a tiara ring in mid November 2018 for her sweet 16. When st the store my sister asked MANY questions as the cleaning and diamonds and because my daughters had chubby fingers were they able to enlarge without looking weird because it's sterling silver. After a day or two I noticed the patch that they did on the ring and wasn't smooth and seemed like a different metal. My daughter kept using and we waiting to take it because of holidays. We went in later January 2019 till the guy in tattoos and he agreed it didn't look nice. Then he said it should be back around feb 7th. I didn't get a call plus my father got sick then I got sick. Late February my daughter and her dad picked up the ring and looked good (only looked at the patch). I saw it and I too just saw it was nice but then next day I noticed that it wasn't shinny and was dirty like if it years old and warned. I had my daughter not use it. We finally took the ring yesterday and I told the blonde rude lady and she said that it's a normal wear and tear. I told her that it was shinny when we brought it and dark when received. She "cleaned" it and stuff and still dark. I told her that it looked that the same one in display and she said "that's brand new" i told her that she had used it maybe 6 weeks which looks like over year old. She was just so rude and kept talking to me like I was stupid. We left because I know wasn't going to get anywhere but I told my sister and ohhhhh boy she's pissed. I'm sure she's going to either get her money back or start from scratch with a new one. I feel back writing bad report because it sucks but the lady saw the receipt and everything and still took me like a fool. Tell me if you think if the ring looks 4 months old from purchase and around 6weeks wearing. We bought anniversary rings here. They didnt have our size so we had to avail for the resizing service. The lady staff promised that the ring will be available before our anniversary. She put a specific date in our receipt. Three days after the promised date (we waited for a while just to make sure the rings will be there) anyways, when we went there to ask for our rings, the staff on duty that time asked "did we call you?" We said no but we said the receipt has a promised date. She answered if they did not call us, the ring is not available. They Did not even apologize for that. We drove 40mins just to get the rings. Well I was waiting for the right time to make my purchase at the Vacaville CA outlet store. I got the quote on my ring for $3900.00 was very satisfied with that price so I went ahead and did the in-store credit account opening. Bam I qualified for $5000.00 Joy immediately struck my heart the ring I've wanted was minutes away from being mine. When she was going to box it up I heard whoops. The clerk said she made a mistake on the price it was actually $6300.00 So I had to use a different credit card and bite the bullet for my purchase. So then she's says hold on let me see what I can't do she goes to a keyboard and pretends to punch in all this stuff and says we'll I can swing it too 5900.00 by some miracle. I will not be doing business or referring to Kay jewelers after this. In the last 2 years I have spent quite a bit of money with this company and have always been a fan of their customer service up until my recent experience. I dropped off two necklaces, one for repair and one for cleaning. The gentleman who helped me seemed kind and knowledgeable, I was on my lunch break and I asked if I could return later to pick up the necklace I was having cleaned and it was no problem. I planned on picking both necklaces up at the same time when the other was repaired. My husband received a phone call saying that our pieces were ready to pick up, he heads down there only to be told that they didn't have the necklace and pendant that was dropped off for only the cleaning. They only had the repaired necklace chain, he was confused but thought maybe we had miscommunicated and I had picked it up already. Then he calls them and tells them that I didn't pick it up in fact and it must be there, only to be told that he is mistaken and they can't find said necklace so I must be lying about dropping it off! I head to the store today to tell them my story and what do you know? My necklace is in a labeled bag awaiting pick up, which leaves me to believe that either an employee was too lazy to actually check their inventory thoroughly or an employee was planning on stealing my necklace and pendant. Either way I was very unhappy with the quality of their services and will not be back unless I'm physically able to stand there and watch them clean and leave with my jewelry, I do not take shady business lightly and you're damn right I would not recommend someone else to go through a similar experience than what we did. read more

Worst customer service! Took me 3 weeks to receive my ring back after they sent it to the jewlers. It came back from it's annual cleaning with it not being sautered together so they had to send it out again. This has been the third time that the jewlers failed to complete the request being given to them or them screwing something up in the process. The first time I needed it resized and when I received it back two weeks later, the inside diamonds were gone because they did not set them properly after resizing it so.... sent it back. Received it two weeks later with one of the diamonds on the band sitting lower than the other... sent it back AGAIN. Every time I call to get an update on what day it will return, the employees say a random day to "please" me but the ring always ends up arriving a week later than they promised. I will NEVER go to this location again. I am willing to drive 2 more hours to receive better customer service and not have to deal with these people again. read more

Never coming here again the customer service was horrible. My fiancé and I went to this location to pick up my ring that had been resized, the lady that we talked to was extremely rude. When I tried on the ring it was to small and was cutting off my circulation. She even put the ring on the metal sizer they had to see if it was done correctly. She looked at it and told me to wear it for a few days to see if I would get use to it. It was already too small! Why would I get use to it ?! Frustrated we went to the Kay in the mall 15 Minutes from this location. The guy was extremely nice I wish I got his name but he also but the ring on the metal sizer they had. I originally asked for the ring to be resized to a five and a quarter, when he put it on the sizer it was almost to the five mark! I would give 0 stars if I could. If you're thinking of getting a ring here, DON'T. My fiance purchased a ring here and within 1 month the diamond fell out. We took it back and had them replace it and I just had them re-size it as well since they already were taking it. When it was delivered we NEVER received a call stating that it had been delivered. We didn't even know it was in until I made my VERY patient fiance call and check on the order. well about a month and a half later, the ring snapped...literally snapped in half where they cut it to re-size. Not only did it snap, and now we have to wait AGAIN, but it happen a week before our engagement photos. Can't take engagement photos without your engagement ring *eye roll*. So they GUARANTEED they would fix that one for my photos, but also have a new one made in my size so ensure it doesn't break. OK, FINE, Whatever.....except when I received my ring (again, didn't get a call. I had my fiance go in 1 day before our pictures so see if it had come in and luckily it had) ANOTHER DIAMOND FELL OUT! So now with this ring, a diamond fell out - fixed, ring snapped - fixed, and another diamond fell out (mind you, the diamond was there when we turned the ring in...when we received it back the diamond was gone). So I have been suck with a ring that has a missing diamond for TWO MONTHS now. I had to go through the holidays showing off a broken ring which sucked. Well anyway, we went in to the store and and asked about the ring and also showed them another diamond was missing, they told us the ring hasn't been delivered yet, and they will call us when it had been. We verified our phone number with them and left. I decided on I didn't want to send it in to get fixed because holidays were coming up and I didn't want to not have a ring when our families saw us for the first time since we have gotten engaged. So after calling customer service, they told us they were very sorry and they would put a credit on the account. (This was back in November) which by the way, we haven't received. Here we are, January 20th and it's been over two months still with no ring. I have stopped wearing the broken one, and we have asked this place if our ring has come in yet twice. I called customer service today and guess what? Our ring was delivered! When do you ask? DECEMBER 18TH! So it has just been sitting there, whoever we updated the phone number with DID NOT UPDATE THE PHONE NUMBER so they had no way of contacting us AND the credit we were promised still has not been placed on to the account. I will NEVER recommend Kay's to ANYONE. Stay far away folks. read more
