Yet, the management (owners) or lack of management's knowledge is the issue. They are not educators. In the more than six months that my child attended several things occurred that you should be WARNED about: 1) tuition increased $84 with no written communication. Emails were sent stating a 25 dollar increase a week. I was told that did not pertain to me no increase I was a new parent , only to find out in the portal of the increase. The director gravely resolved but the owner never responded to my request for a meeting regarding the issue. 2) No curriculum. The owner might say a team was brought in but you will never get a newsletter with academic focus for the week, no benchmark assessment or weekly activities. Lessons are on the wall but you can't have academics with inconsistent staffing. Some classes like the two years are so big you need small groups for instruction. 3) Staffing is a major issue. Some classes have consistent teachers others not so much. You will drop your child off to people you know and pick your child up to people you have never seen. Its so bad teachers in the room won't know the children's names 4) BUT THE WORST INCIDENT --- I went to drop my child off and it was 9:15. Since coming to the center the 9:00 cut off has not been implemented. I was met at the door without any communication from management and told we could not enter. I had a meeting as many other working parents, I was late. I had to take my child back home despite not being told about a policy before hand. I am not sure why you would take your child to a place that is punitive to parents --the customer. It boggles my mind that the people I pay could not have resolved an issue or implemented a policy more effectively. THIS IS NOT A PLACE FOR WORKING PARENTS--- NO CURRICULUM , CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND PUNITIVE TO CLIENT. Please know my review is as a parent and early childhood professional with 3 degrees.

I am very very very happy with my choice to bring him here. I waited to give the relationship time to be sure I was right about trusting them with my only grandchild and I was. I gave Ms. Monica all the information she requested a week before I arrived at the daycare. She was very loving and helpful. When I arrived at Royal Learner's, I did not get a warm welcome and the Director Rhonda was rude. She couldn't find the paperwork that I'd submitted to Ms. Monica. To make a long story short, I didn't have a great first impression. A few weeks ago, my child was pushed in the back and fell face forward on the floor. I didn't receive a phone call about this incident. I walked in while the Director was trying to console him. His nose was bleeding and he was crying hysterically. The teacher and the Director didn't even tell me what happened right away. Another parent that was picking up their child told me what happened. Afterwards, the teacher came with the incident report trying to explain what happened. Almost 4 weeks later, the Director nor the teacher has yet to ask me if my child's nose is okay! He walked around with a bruised nose for a week! The parent who witnessed the incident is the only person that has asked me about my child's nose. Along with the Director, the staff doesn't always speak when I come in to drop off or pick up my child. Camera 12 has been out for 15 days now. That's a service that I pay for and need because I don't have a peace of mind while my child is in daycare. I am looking forward to moving him soon!

The school provides a wholesome breakfast lunch and snack for the kids. They have cameras in all their rooms where you can watch the kids and I really like the girls who watch my now 11 month old son. It's been a few months since I've had my kids going there and I always pick my kids up and think Thank God I found Royal learners for my kids I couldn't be happier!

That seemed to be lacking previously. This is a Title 1 school which essentialy means it is understaffed & under-funded. There is a revolving door of 1st year teachers & many Deltas, as the principal is a member of that sorority. Also a high special needs & interrelated population here. Many poor-performing academic students here, but not a bad school to work at. If you have a bright child who needs a challenge, I would not send them here as they would be surrounded by lower-achieving students. As with any institution, do your research before sending your precious child to any old school!

Any parent seeking childcare knows that consistency, security communication, professionalism and a good reputation is key. I've been in contact with Mama Rhonda's location during my maternity leave. I'm aware that things have changed with some daycares due to the pandemic so I would follow up at least once a week to verify if they were still 24 hours, if transportation was being provided, if they did virtual classes...etc....I like to provide names in my reviews so you know it's real. I listed both daycares since they're both owned by the same person.I was in consistent contact with the Director - Katrina Dawson since January 2021. She was well aware that my kids were going to start in March unless something changed on their end or due to the pandemic. Katrina scheduled a tour on February 17th @ 5:00pm. I showed up and she wasn't there. I was upset because she could've called me if there was a change in plans. I would call the center and Katrina would tell me she would call me back, no call back. She extended her number to me and stated that she's usually busy with kids or at her other place of employment so contact her directly. I would text her, no reply. We finally get someone to come to the door and she tells us that no one is there to provide a with him with a tour (another no call no show - this place is so unprofessional). I informed her that I'm here to meet with Mrs. Brown. She contacts Shakeyta King (Mrs. Brown - Owner daughter) to let her know I'm waiting. Shakeya said "just tell her she's sleep"! I replied "can someone wake her up"? My kids are scheduled to start tomorrow? Maybe she overslept. I just texted Katrina 4 hours ago to remind her that my kids would be starting tomorrow and Mrs. Brown this morning just to confirm and neither one of them said anything about any changes.I get on the phone with Shakeyta and she informed me that Mrs. Brown is not available because she out of town due to a family emergency. The first one is a Sophomore at a Division 1 college in the honors program. Mr. Smith, the Principal cares more about these kids than any principal I have ever seen. They have teachers who come in early and stay late to help the kids who are having trouble with different subjects. I lived in PTC and my first kid went there to the green school. Drugs, clicks, and entitled brats reigned there. Sandy Creek is a great school with great people. No trouble at all. Yes, its diverse, so is the world.
