As someone who knows the local culinary culture well, I can confidently say that what they are serving is NOT 'Denizli Kebab'. Authentic Denizli kebab is strictly slow-roasted in a traditional stone oven, but this place cooks their meat in a pit (tandır) and falsely advertises it as the real deal. False advertising aside, the service is absolutely abysmal. When our food arrived, the meat was ice-cold, and the accompanying mezes were poorly prepared and tasteless. To make matters worse, it is not cheap at all. We paid a very high price for this awful experience, and it was a complete waste of money. Do not be fooled by their fake high ratings or sponsored posts--stay away!

We left for what we thought was going to be a 30-minute walk to the Heiropolis south gate entrance. After we were about a third of the way there we realized that it was going to be a much longer walk than planned. We decided to press on and accept our fate just as a car pulled up and offered us a ride. We were naturally a little weary until we realized that the driver was the owner of Yildiz so we jumped in and asked "how much?". He responded with something along the lines of "you ate at my restaurant, I give you a ride. No cost." Amazing. Natural we went back for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Quaint, family run business with great local fare. Highly recommended.
