I signed up for the news tribute and thought I had canceled it until I had someone call me the next…read moremonth saying that I owe them like four dollars... I told them I am not doing that and I am not giving them my card information over the phone and they have being calling me ever since. This morning really crossed a line as they called me at 6 AM. I have only logged onto their website one time to find out about my friend's death. This has been honestly the most truly annoying experience I've had with anybody collecting a debt let alone under 5$ . I had to block their phone number because that's how often I was getting phone calls. And the news article didn't even say much about what actually happened. I was better off finding information on Facebook.

He usually likes to take the paper with him to work so when it comes, it's no good to us. They charge a phenomenal amount over $60 a month and they want you to pay two months in advance even if you're on Social Security it's always been one problem after the other and we've been with them over 25 years. It's never gotten any better and never probably will. also, when you call to make a payment, you're getting somebody who's sitting in their kitchens with chicken clucking in the background as they're working from home and you're giving this person. You're a personal debit card number and three digit code on the back and half the time the news of you know nothing about the payment and then all of a sudden you get a $200 bill in the mail from the Tribune. This is terrible. The bookkeeping department needs to shape up. It's not working for me.

All the publications of The Arts and Crafts Press are letterpress printed and bound by hand. The Press also produces greeting cards and artworks that are letterpress printed from hand cut blocks inspired by the turn-of-the-century movement. I have met Bruce and Yoshiko and have been a fan (and an occasional customer) of their work for years. They make beautiful cards, prints, etc. that never cease to draw me in. To raise funds needed for sending urgent medical care and other supplies to the Japanese victims, Yoshiko has decided to donate a new block print for the relief effort. It's a seascape of "Matsushima Bay," just northeast of Sendai along the coastline hit by the tsunami. ALL of the proceed from this Matsushima print ($30/print) will go towards a volunteer organization called Empact Northwest (www.empactnorthwest.org) that is at this moment in Japan working to provide medical relief in the Sendai area. In addition, if you frame your Matsushima Bay print at The Framer's Workshop, they will donate 20% of the framing price to Empact Northwest. And let us all hope that the Tohoku region will again become safe, vibrant and beautiful, as conveyed within this small print that I just purchased.

Yoshiko has amazing art work. Her business was next door to ours for a number of years and I had…read morethe opportunity to see a number of her Art pieces. She has now moved her office to Tacoma and we miss seeing her here. I truly love her work she is truly gifted. She showed me how with a lot of her pieces she has to hand carve very intricate designs. She also makes hand made cards. I had a few tours over the years and it's been awesome to see her shop and how her presses all work etc. Thank you for being an amazing neighboring business and we Miss you! :)
