Never have I wanted to leave a negative review so badly in my life. We were referred to KCHMP through a friend and decided to hire them to build a deck for us. Everything started out fine with Tony, the owner. He seemed like a very sincere and honest guy. The terms were to pay 1/2 upon framing the deck/passing inspection and the back half once it was done and everything was cleaned up. The guys Tony tasked with doing the job (Joe and some other guy who was fired/quit during the two-month process) showed up when they said they would and stayed all day to work. At first. Since KCHMP ONLY accepts payment through PayPal, be wary when paying them since it is IMPOSSIBLE to get the payment back. The payment was delayed through no fault of our own but we wanted to hold up our end of the contract and make sure they received the first payment, so we paid cash. And since everything was going smoothly at that time, we didn't think we had much to lose. Big mistake. From that point on, having lost our leverage (our fault for trusting the guy, admittedly), it was impossible to get a hold of Tony and he came up with excuse after excuse as to why the guys weren't out there working when he promised they would be. It started out with them having a 'crazy busy emergency day,' then it was 'too muddy' to work, even though the ground was dry. Then days would go by without any response from Tony, then he would text us with more excuses: 'we just had a technician that had a family emergency that hasn't (sic) went to Texas for several days I just got back yesterday and had another technician just up and quit then for one more duty (sic) of an excuse I had oral surgery Tuesday kind of down and out and on drugs the last couple days... Joe back over there he's going to try and knock out next couple days.' In the meantime I get a message from Joe, the guy who's been working on the deck (Tony set foot on the property once to bid the job, then we never saw him again), saying Tony instructed him to work on our deck when he's got some extra time and has nothing else to do. WTF?! Our job is FULLY PAID, has been for weeks, and this guy is literally out here for two hours a week working on our deck. So, after having provided KCHMP with an interest-free business loan for the past month, dissatisfied with Tony's lack of communication and Joe's lack of progress, we decided to part ways and just pay someone else to finish the job. What really irked us throughout this process was the lack of communication and lack of prioritization. We bent over backwards to abide by the terms of the contract, and once this guy was paid in full (because of his chosen crappy payment method) he put the job on the backburner and ghosted us for days at a time. Maybe it would have been different if we'd have insisted waiting for the PayPal payment to go through and not paying cash, but we would NOT recommend this company. read more

Everyone i have been patient, This Guy Tony Johnson took my call and said he would handle the front storm door (needed frame removed and glass replaced, simple) he came took the frame but never returned, won't answer calls or messages, Had my wife call from different phone , he answered said sorry said he was sick would be in the following week. never happened , i called today he hung up like a little girl. So now lets see what my tax money can do for me. If this is the kind of professionalism we hold our contractors to, i feel sorry for us cause we will be at their mercy if you don't hold them to the professional standard that we always have. read more

They started a job but would not come back to finish. Probably because they did a botched job and did not want to be responsible for their screw up. They will lie to you and pull a no show. Waste of money and lots of wasted time on these clowns. I have serious doubts that they are licensed as their work is shade tree at best. Do not use them. Go to Home Advisor and choose someone else like I did. Im grateful to have found a company who keeps their word, shows up when promised nd who was willing to fix the Handyman Pro mess.
