We purchased a gazebo for our deck, it came in 3 boxes with lots and lots of pieces to put it together. It was way to big of a project for my husband and I to handle. I spoke with Harry, he told me he had put together a gazebo similar to ours and it took 12 hours so he would need to hire 2 other people to help him so they could get it done in 6 hours or so. He gave me a bid and we decided on a day for them to do it. He arrived at 8:15 as promised and was waiting for his helpers to get here. I was very surprised to see his truck in my driveway when I got home from work that evening at 6:45. I thought they would be done and long gone....his help never showed so Harry put our gazebo together all alone and on top of that it rained most of the day! Talk about reliable! We hired Harry to restore a basement rec room after it had water damage. He had to replace the drywall, install new flooring, repair some doors and rehang them and paint everything. He also helped haul off a lot of furniture and other items that had been damaged. In addition we had him do some additional work on a pantry upstairs that also needed new drywall, and complete some minor jobs...reattaching some siding and rehanging a shutter that had come down in a storm. Handyman Harry did excellent work on our giant concrete and wood stairs project. The wooden steps to our front door were rotting. At the same time, the impractical landscaped brick steps and railroad ties with a landing were buckling and falling apart. Harry suggested concrete steps to replace the landscaped steps and replacing the rotting wood stairs with a whole new wood staircase. After a few months when the weather was good for painting, Harry came back and painted the staircase white to match the porch railing. His work was fantastic and reasonably priced. Harry can do just about anything. He does big jobs like interior and exterior house painting (and siding repair) and keeps very busy, so I didn't want to bother him with two small jobs (fixing a mis-aligned back door and repairing a gutter) but he agreed to do them despite his busy schedule and is great at staying in touch about when he's coming to do the job. Harry just finished remodeling one of the bathrooms in our old house. He stripped wallpaper, painted, replaced the floor, fixed the ceiling, and installed a new vanity, sink, and toilet. We were impressed with Harry's attention to detail -- he made sure the walls were patched correctly, giving lots of detail to the issues left by the wallpaper.
