I've listen to this station since I was in elementary school and I absolutely loved the funny jokes and humor that they bring. Growing up I was able to stay connected with my community by listening and hearing about the events in the Basin. There was no Facebook when I was little! But I knew every time the carnival was in town or when Santa was coming to Yucca Valley. It's definitely a great source for fast and reliable news. Especially when you're trying to get to work and they let you know where some accidents are almost right after they happen so you can avoid them! I really appreciate all the hard work this station puts into our community and looking forward to listening for many more years. read more

I called the front office to ask about the dog ad about avoiding dog scams to find out the organization that is placing the ad. The person that answered the phone told me that I should look on the online site, and or listen to the radio more. I said that I was looking on the online site and did not see anything about the ad. In addition, I said that I had not caught the name of the organization after listening to the ad on the radio. She kept interjecting while I was asking her about the ad that first of all we do not promote selling dogs. Her tone of voice is rude when she does this. I asked her if it is impossible to tell me because it is against the rules or something, and she said that she is really busy doing 5 other things and does not have that information. She also corrected me again when mentioning that ad that they do not promote selling dogs. I said could you stop correcting me I believe you know I am talking about the dog scam ad. She hung up on me rudely. I called the request line and she answered again and hung up on me again. I am shocked at how rudely toned and rude the office staff responses are. The person answering the phone sounds overwhelmed by her job and lacks any people skills. She is rude, condescending, unhelpful, and impossible to talk to. The ad about avoiding dog scams is ridiculous. They state that the best place to buy a dog is the animal shelter. I have purchased dogs with money orders before without any problem. I called the breeder talked to them and confirmed the pedigree numbers and location first. They also state in the ad that the animal shelter is the best place to get a dog. It is actually one of the worst places to get a dog. The medical and care history of the animals they have are unknown. The best place to get a dog is a reputable dog kennel that is a member of a kennel club and competes, or a breeder that avoids in-breeding and cares well for the animals. I will take their news coverage and recommendations with a grain of salt. I am leaving one star because it is required otherwise no stars for the phone call responses and dog purchasing coverage. read more
