Just started working with this crew. Impressed! Fast and friendly. Can't wait to see my web page and the results it brings.

Dear Desert Post Weekly. I remember a time long ago (4 or 5 years ago) when you were decent. You…read morewere what LA Weekly was to LA or the OC Weekly to the OC for the Coachella Valley. Now you just suck! You had worthy reading material with decent freelance writers as well as employed writers who would contribute worthy material. Example.. When Dusty Rhodes and the River Band played a small gig you wrote a good piece. Now it's crap! All gone to shits! There was informative material as to what live shows would be going on in the valley as well as music reviews, indie film reviews. blah blah blah. Now you just suck! On a recent trip I picked up the DPW sat down opened it up while sipping my wine while we waited for our dinner and shit page after page was just S - H - I- A - T! For fuck sake you have endless pages of classifieds. And it's not good ones either.. Endless pages of "public notices" Oh, and adds like "No medical insurance- come to ______" or "Dirty Ducts? Air Duct Cleaning_____" Seriously? I mean you have the Kmart adds in your paper. LAME! Your film review was of Julia & Julia" Is there no longer that Indie film theater in the desert now? Wow.. Your paper really makes the desert look like it lacks culture. Are there no interesting art shows, movies in the park, wine tasting events? I mean I am just throwing shit off the top of my head. It seems like the editor Michael Felci is just throwing his hands in the air and saying "F-IT" let's just throw a ton of crap in here. You used to be informative now it is just bad. It would be great to come visit the desert and open up the DPW and read about local going on's. Excluding "Chippendale's at Zeldaz" No.. We want to see some culture and you are really making the desert look like it lacks that. I know that there are many gems out there and perhaps you should start investigating them. For example.. The Ace, Amigo Bar, The Viceroy pool parties, M- Modern gallery, Imago Gallery, the El Paseo art walk.. come on! Fin

We subscribed to this magazine for a few years because we enjoyed being reminded of sunny, warm…read morePalm Springs while trying to stay warm under the cold, grey, rainy skies of the Pacific Northwest. Eventually we started saying to each other, wow, this publication is severely stuck in the past. Every single issue has some tribute, article, or photo montage of people and celebrities who were last relevant 50 years ago. It got old (BTW, they are still doing it even now.) Although they do offer a Desert Calendar each issue, we discovered the hard way that they don't always get the dates right. I won't go into details, but we booked a trip in order to enjoy some sort of festival during our trip based on their Calendar, only to find out when we arrived that it had happened the previous weekend! We were most disappointed--okay, I suppose we should have double-checked the dates--but when we wrote to express our disappointment and alert them to the mistake, we received no response. Nothing. Not a form letter, email, or anything. And that was when we decided we were done supporting a business that didn't value us enough to give us even the most cursory of responses. Oh, and we've saved a fair amount of money since then--it's not exactly cheap to subscribe.

I just love this magazine. The new layouts and images are wonderful. Photography is on point. Love…read moreall the articles about mid-century design. And the astrology column is my FAVORITE!
