Total criminal, DO NOT hire this guy. We did, gave him a deposit for a $20,000 job. He never completed the permitting process, never started the job, and has given us a run a run for a month. He now refuses to refund our deposit so we are having to sue him. Just stay away!!!! read more

We hired Don Kluth to install a circular driveway for our home. The driveway was poured on May 13. We ended up with a lien against our home as he did not pay for the concrete. After weeks of calling him, he finally paid for the concrete and now the lien has been released. The City of Palm Coast informed us that he was operating as an unlicensed contractor. This guy has made promise after promise about getting the final inspection and getting things completely finished. The BBB has lowered his rating to F due to our complaint and the complaint of one other person. We hired Don Kluth of KDK Concrete to replace our stone driveway with a concrete one in October 2012. It took him 7 weeks to complete a job that should have only taken 3-4 days, he required the 1/3 down payment be paid directly to him instead of the business, he threatened to walk off the job and put a lien on our house, underestimated the job by 9 yards of concrete, double billed us, admitted his billing was wrong but never changed it and refuses to discuss it with us, and took over a month to pay a fine with the city that he incurred by requesting the final inspection too soon. He has an alert against him with the better business bureau and when I sent him a link to show him that the city has a red flag on his license he threatened to sue me for defamation! If I had known then what I know now about this person I would never have hired him and I will NEVER recommend him to anyone!!!! read more
