I am never using H&R Block again. I have been a costumer for three years and never had this…read moredifficult of a time. I had an appointment set up to get my taxes done in office. I made the appointment online. They call me and said we have to reschedule because I wasn't assigned to a tax specialist. So we rescheduled. Two hours before my appointment they email me saying they are canceling again because nobody is available in the office to do my taxes. Okay, very inconvenient I thought but stuff happens.... I call back to reschedule. A girl answered. I explained what happened and that I needed to be rescheduled. She said needed to get help from a manager. She puts me on hold but actually hung up on me. I call back. I get the voicemail. I leave a voicemail message. 24+ hours go by, nobody returns my call. I decided to do my taxes myself online. I had some confusion because one question was asking me my AGI part year for 2020. I never filed a part year.... So I call the online assistance phone number. During that process I got transferred three times and hung up on 4 times. I kid you not, it was like pulling teeth trying to get any help. By the end of it all I received no help what whatsoever. So I decided go to my last years taxes to see if I messed up and filed "part year" well it made me pay $10 to access my previous taxes. Fine, whatever. At this point I'm very fed up and just want to get my taxes done. So I paid it. I look through and see it's NOT filed as part year. I go back to the screen where it asked me that question and low and behold, it DOES'T say "part year" anymore. It now read "2021 AGI." So, did they do that on purpose just to throw me off? Just to force me to purchase access to my last years taxes. I seriously don't understand why it would do that and then change after I buy access to previous taxes. It makes no sense. ANYWAYS..... I get all the way finished with my taxes and at the end it tells me I have one issue. It says I have finished my taxes but it come up with one issue. It says "Federal-You must upgrade to H&R Block Deluxe to claim the Saver's Credit." Well, I cannot figure out how to get the deluxe version. I cannot find a link anywhere. So I get online help from a real person. She literally tells me, it was supposed to prompt me to upgrade when I filled out the Saver's Credit field. Well, it never did. She then tells me, that I can only DOWNGRADE not UPGRADE. So, if I want she can reset my app and I can start my taxes all over from the beginning. Are you kidding me? Why would I only be allowed to downgrade and not upgrade? This is the absolute worst tax experience I've ever had. I will not be using H&R Block in the future and I will be sure to let all my friends and family know about how unprofessional they have become. I'm the meantime, I will be deleting my profile and going to file somewhere else. Seems how I have to delete everything I did anyways. What a joke.
