Then I would do some household chores and it would come back even worse. Friday evening I was searching the internet for muscle spasm treatments while laying on the couch after having to leave work early due to the pain. On this search I came across three magical words. TRIGGER POINT INJECTIONS. Upon reading these wonderful words I immediately contacted Dr. Prieto. She was able to get me in as soon as Sunday. Upon arriving she explained very the entire process in detail. Including the risks (which I didn't even think of) that could, but not likely to happen. She then examined my neck shoulder. Finding knots all throughout the left side of my upper back including my Levator Scapulae, Romboid Major, Romboid Minor, Longissimus Thoracis, Infraspinatus and Teres Minor. She then Injected into the knots a concoction of anesthetic, Steroid and Toradol having her Medical Assistant (Jan) perform some deep tissue massage to each injection site before moving to the next injection in order make sure the medicine spread as fare as possible breaking up the knots in my muscles. I felt sore and the pain was 30% gone right away. That was yesterday. Last night I slept on my back without a pillow (very hard for me as I am a side sleeper) and upon waking I can honestly say 97% was gone. I have worked all day and am in no pain. I have some soreness from the deep tissue but the actual pain is gone. I will continue to do my PT but this has seriously changed my life. Thank you so much Dr. Prieto for giving me complete free range of motion nearly instantly. If you need a way to stop the pain/spasm/pain cycle, this is it!

I recently went into Thrive Aesthetics to receive a SOFWAVE procedure for my upper eyelids as they are heavily hooded. It was a mildly uncomfortable procedure, however, Beth W. is amazing and spent plenty of time making sure I was as comfortable as possible. She can even use a nerve block if needed, however I did not personally feel uncomfortable enough to need one as I was only doing my upper lid areas.
