Funny thing, I was a faceless person everytime. Yes I mobile ordered and yes I didnt spend 5min annoyingly listing the toppings one by one, but they were slow at filling and saw me every night...and still I felt faceless and nobody. I returned back because my bookkeeper actually reads the Pennysave (???), yes apparently she reads all the junk mail that comes through the office and she declared it is time to return to Lazeez because she was sick of the veggie burger option that tempted her to order onion rings and fries because ordering a salad was the same as doubling up the toppings (I do agree with that). In any case returned with my two can dine, so just a break down the regular shawarma is 7.99+tax, the two can dine is 12.99+tax with two chicken shawarma and two drinks. So it's a $3 saving overall with a drink. And because I never eat alone I always order two for someone else to join me :) So when I ordered and they were filing my order I observed new toppings when I was...made aware that I hadn't been around for week (hehehe I know!). And then I said everyone was sick of the shawarma. So then we chatted and in my absence I missed their $5 shawarma deal. I said what!!!!! What!!!!@!!! And she said you usually order a Large. To clarify she is the manager while he, the employee, was working. I said yup, someone's on a diet and ordered all of us to eat the same size -as we do in the office when someone wants to lose weight (ahem my bookkeeper). Frankly it felt good to be missed? And it seems they got new branded paper bag and wax wrappers and bags... I said back to the Manager thats expensive, you can wrap mine unbranded next time. I swear even just returning twice I was remembered and going to Harvey's for two weeks I still felt like a nobody. Thanks peeps at lazeez. They did give me a heads up on their anniversary they might be having a deal. Their last anniversary was $3 shawarma. I dont endorse being a regular eater at one place because eating is like travelling, you have to have variety. It's difficult to compare the two shawarma places because this one actually puts a bit of curry in their chicken shawarma wraps. The ingredients are simple, it wasn't soggy at the bottom. The chicken shawarma was 11.99 +tax, but with the bogo running on May 27-29 it was $6+tax. In comparison to Lazeez 7.99 chicken wrap, Ace was higher based on regular price. Ace also has a loyalty program. When you spend $1 you get 1 point. At 100 pts ($100 dollar of spending) you get $5. Lazeez Cambridge also has a loyalty program, when you spend on 9 shawarmas you get one free, which is 7.99x9=$72 to get a free 7.99 value wrap. So Lazeez has a superior program with a faster reward program. One difference you will notice is that Ace has almost a team of 10 people preparing orders and the orders come quite fast with a military supervisor calling it out and the kitchen is open concept but you cannot see someone crafting your order right in front of you...it's in the back. Lazeez has a 2-3 man team, one person being the supervisor who actively manages the shift and you make can watch your shawarma being crafted right in front for you. It's an interesting place and another food options. :)

If you held a frozen pillsbury cookie tube, that's how small it is. We ordered a Chicken $5 and a Falafel $5 wrap. My order was everything with garlic sauce and hot sauce. The taste was okay, very happy they has no MSG. But the lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, cabbage ingredients very very little in the chicken wrap and I think my Falafel wrap was made wrong - swapped with the other box order. This new store opened in November and integrates the ability to online order but there is no pay function. So on arrival the order was not made until I showed up (which is a 6min drive from my workplace so it would have been nice to have it ready to pick up). The online function is supposed to help make less mistakes with order by providing the location order in advance but I feel like my order would have been better received verbally. :/ It was a two man operation with one guy making and one guy taking payments. The guy taking the payments touched his mask a lot. Washrooms were closed for guest, so for anyone with a weak bladder this location may not be accessible. It saddens me when I arrive to a take out location without washrooms available for handwashing, especially when you're eating finger foods. This location did not have hand sanitizer available for patrons. It's a rough first experience, but my bookkeeper said she liked it. So gotta give this place another try in the future.
