I took her to a local vet for dressing changes and stitch removal, the local vet was most helpful and nice! I did a walk in here and they told me it would be a 30 minute wait which it was just a few minutes less. We had to do a couple of things for my girl so it did take about an hour overall. The prices are also very reasonable for being a vet clinic. The first visit they charge a $25 dollar fee for new patients and then charge whatever else you are seeing them for. She would give shots and do a brief "well check" exam. It was so nice to have a vet that was so caring and kind with our animals. She took great care of all the dogs we'd end up with (we took in strays until we could either find better homes for them or get them back to their families). She always made sure that they were in the best health they could be. She would always remember everyone's name and ask how they were doing, even if she was there for someone else. The fact that I still remember what what excellent care she provided to us and our animals 15 years later should certain tell you something about Karen Bookout. She was, hands down, the best vet we have ever had. I miss having her nearby!
