Caring veterinary. My dog was afraid to go in to get a shot. They came out to my truck and gave her the shot.

They have taken the best care out of the many vets I have tried out in the Kingwood area before finding them.

The money was not the issue, it was the lack of hope. We decided to get a second opinion and took her to VCA. My fur baby had fluid in her lungs. The Dr. did x-rays and tests at half the price (again, money was not the issue) and put her on treatment that had my dog back to normal within a few hours. I know this is not always the case for every pet but the other vet gave us no hope and we were thinking we were going to have to put her down. Vet at VCA saved my dog's life and I'm grateful for the team.

They run up a bill just like any other money hungry business and pile on extra charges to pet owners who need help without having to drive all the way downtown or to the woodlands. After the vet texted to inform me that my pet needed X-ray and more antibiotics after charging me over $700 for initial wellness exam, I called to get a quote and the goofy front desk girl that answered said they don't have a price for X-rays at all. They let people who don't know what they're talking about, answer the phone and give worried pet owners passive aggressive, vague answers that they have no knowledge about. Disappointment is a complete understatement.

I've taken Ruger to several vet visits over the years, and today was the first time I've ever heard him cry during a blood draw. If getting blood drawn hurts when someone is digging around trying to find a vein on a person, what makes anyone think it doesn't hurt a dog? Watching the needle being moved around while trying to find a vein was hard to watch, and it honestly made me question the technique that was being used. Worst of all, there wasn't even an apology or any comfort given to my dog from her part. The veterinarian, Jenny Ponce Hernandez, also didn't introduce herself when she walked in. I actually had to ask who she was. She didn't come across as confident, and that didn't give me much reassurance while my dog was being treated. She also recommended that I spay my German Shepherd before her first heat cycle. I understand vets can have different opinions, but every other veterinarian I've spoken with has recommended waiting until after her first heat so she can fully develop. That recommendation, along with the rest of my experience, just didn't leave me feeling confident. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. I came in expecting a simple, routine visit, but I left feeling disappointed and uncomfortable with the care my dog received.

I approved a thorough estimate, and received two additional calls throughout the 24ish hour hospitalization with updates from other DVMs on shift. It was a positive experience from their team all around. ER's are expensive, yes, but that is a fee to consider when taking on a pet. Get pet insurance--it's worth it. Please be patient with any vet staff as they are trying their best in an understaffed and under appreciated field. No one in the field does it for the money--I promise. I'm glad this place is close to me and I hope I don't have to use them often, but will be my first choice for emergent needs. Thanks again!

Dr. Karl was so patient and compassionate. She took the time to walk us through every test, every result, and really helped us understand what was going on. We felt supported. For the first time that day, we felt like we could trust what we were being told and felt more confident in the decisions we had to make. They were also very understanding about the financial side of things, and offered us options without making us feel guilty. I'm so grateful to them. That kind of empathy and transparency is rare, and it meant the world during such a tough moment.

By the time I arrived at Atascocita Animal Hospital, it was about 20 minutes before they officially opened. The door happened to be unlocked, so I went in, explained the situation, and asked if there was any chance they could help. Even though they're appointment-only, they kindly told me they would see if they could squeeze us in and they did!!! I am incredibly grateful they made the time for us. From the moment I walked in, everyone was so kind. The woman at the front desk was genuinely warm and compassionate. I was under a lot of stress, and I really appreciated how calm and soft-spoken the entire staff was. The technician and the veterinarian were both very gentle with Zen, and you could tell they truly cared about making him as comfortable as possible. We're still waiting on some of his test results, but they gave him fluids and took the time to evaluate him thoroughly. That gave me some peace of mind during a difficult day. The only downside for me was the cost. I do feel the visit was on the procier side, so if you're on a tight budget, that's something to keep in mind. However, the level of compassion, professionalism, and care we received made for a very positive experience overall. Thank you to everyone at Atascocita Animal Hospital for helping Zen when we really needed it. I truly appreciate your kindness and would recommend your team to anyone looking for compassionate veterinary care.

I even clarified, "So the first dose lasts 2 months and it's comped?" and was told yes. Twice. By 2 different people. When I arrived for my appointment, they ran the quote again and suddenly that was no longer true. Instead, they said only Revolution could be comped, which is a 1 month topical, not the 2 month medication I was originally told about. At that point, it's not even about the money, it's the principle. I made my decision based on the information your staff gave me, and then it completely changed when I got there. So now: * My cat Tilly was stressed in a crate for over an hour for no reason * My time was wasted * Your front desk staff had to deal with a frustrated client (I know it's not entirely their fault they are doing their best and are very kind) * Your clinic lost a customer entirely All over a single dose of medication that could have easily been honored. Today I almost didn't come, but my Frenchie has been having ear issues again. Last year they put a medication in his ear that helped temporarily, so I came back hoping to address the same issue. This time they wanted to charge me $100 for the same medication that I later saw on Amazon for about $7. I declined the medication. After that they offered to simply clean his ears. I agreed, thinking it was a basic service, but no price was mentioned beforehand. When I received my bill, it came out to $337. I was shocked to see they charged $50 just to clean his ears without informing me of the cost before doing it. While the staff has always been polite, the pricing and lack of transparency are very disappointing. Unfortunately, after today's experience, I will not be returning. From the start, the front staff were super kind to our lil pup for his puppy shots; he had positive experiences every time! For boarding, Chief was happy and well taken care of as he recuperated from his neutering while we were on vacation; Jasmine was so kind and even sent us a video of our pup playing in the unexpected snow in Jan 2025. We were sad to miss his first experience with snow, and thrilled to see him love the cold, white fun. Then, Dr. Kendra Delaney and the whole staff were instrumental in working with our Pet Relocation team for our international move, and promptly responded to all the timely details. Chief boarded for about a week until he flew out to meet us abroad. The staff all took amazing care of him, and our extra thank yous to Jasmine, our puppy's favorite vet tech, who noticed he was getting anxious; she promptly alerted the vet team who approached us with suggestions. We sincerely appreciate them all going the extra mile, every time.
