After contacting 5 other real estate agents in the Carmel area, we chose the Albrecht Team for one reason: Keith was willing to be aggressive in pricing our beautiful home. Every other agent we interviewed insisted that we price low to move the property quickly. Because the real estate market was heating up in early spring of 2013, we wanted to maximize our profits after the long, slow real estate market f the previous 5 years. We were only interested in dealing with optimists. The Albrecht Team put together a fantastic marketing brochure for our home, and within 5 days we had 10 showings. In ten days, we received an excellent offer! In fact, the final contract price was well above where the 'other' realtors wanted us to start pricing! It turns out that choosing the Albrecht Team was a smart move for another reason. Following the inspection, our buyer asked for major repairs which we believed were completely unnecessary. The negotiations got a bit 'sticky' and dragged on, getting closer and closer to our closing date. I have been using the Keith Albrecht team to sell my home and have found Keith and his team extremely professional and knowledgeable. In fact my home was previously mentioned in a complaint by a "Diane D" who completely misrepresented the facts but of course she was not involved as either a buyer or seller. Our home is only 14 years old in a beautiful and highly desired neighborhood in Carmel. This is a case which occurs all too frequently where the sale was sabotaged by a self serving home inspector who clearly wanted to justify his fee by scaring young and inexperienced home buyers by embellishing the facts. Our house was inspected by a structural engineer and 2 qualified roofers and no significant damage was found. In fact the buyer's own roofer when contacted confirmed that the roof did not need to be replaced. Our attempts to provide written proof of these facts were ignored. BUYERS & SELLERS BEWARE...stay away from Keith Albrecht. My daughter and her husband made a offer on a property where he served as the listing agent. Upon a home inspection structural damage was brought to his and his seller's attention. The home inspection labeled this is a major concern/major repair. My daughter asked that an evaluation and repair be made by a engineer. She provided him pictures that showed the damage and the inspection report that noted that the damage required repair. Keith claimed a engineer viewed the damage and it was normal settling. He did not provide any evidence from engineer to support his claim. For this reason my daughter was not comfortable moving forward with the purchase and asked for a mutual release. Keith instructed his clients to not sign the mutual release which prevented her from receiving her earnest money. Not only did he refuse to return her earnest money, he re-listed the property without disclosing the damage. Please save yourself the aggravation of dealing with a arrogant, dishonest realtor. read more

I sold a home with Keith and was very pleased with the professionalism shown by Keith and his team throughout the process. Keith is a very good listing agent who negotiates hard to get his clients the best possible price when selling their home. The other members of his team are outstanding as well: Jan Hoffman Meeks takes fantastic care of her clients on the buying side, and Kelly in the office is super friendly and helpful. I have to take some of the negative reviews with a grain of salt - I can't imagine what a Realtor would have to gain by NOT listing a home...they don't make any money until it sells, so that doesn't add up to me. Selling a home is often an emotional experience and people seem quick to blame the Realtor when something goes wrong that is out of their control....that's just my two cents after having bought and sold over a dozen homes.
