Where else in this screwed up crazy world does someone do that for a stranger? Anyway, after I got back to Florida, I discovered a problem with one of the brakes that was replaced so I took it to my local dealer and had it fixed. After telling the owner about this, he offered to repay me for the service that was done to fix the problem. This kind of service is something I dare say you won't find in other places, but in Red Bay Alabama, it isn't surprising at all.

I appreciate them doing the right thing. *** I recently bought a new truck and brought it in for service. I spent about $1,500--definitely on the high side--but I wanted the job done right. During that service, they accidentally broke my air filter box. To their credit, they replaced it at no charge, which was the right thing to do. However, once I got home, I noticed another issue. I called, and they told me to bring it back so they could double-check their work. After re-inspecting it, they claimed the problem was unrelated and quoted me an additional $2,500 for repairs. I declined due to the excessive cost. The frustrating part came when I picked up my truck--they charged me another $150 diagnostic fee, despite initially saying they would recheck their work. When I questioned it, I was told, "Sorry, my manager says we have to charge you." That was enough for me. I won't be going back.

After going through the effort of pulling out an engine for me they saw it was not the exact part it was listed as. I know a lot of shops that would have just sent it anyways and played dumb. Mickey let me know right away that it was not an exact match to what I was looking for. Even though they had already went through everything to take the part out and knowing they would lose the sale he let me know that while pretty similar their part wouldn't work for my truck. You don't find fair prices, upfront honesty, and putting the customer before a buck in many businesses anymore, but I found it alive and well with these guys!
