I'm sticking with my general philosophy of no 5 star reviews for a first review... So, I've only been here a couple of times for random things, mostly auto accidents (we where not at fault), and once for a free gun lock, but each time I was happy with the help I received. The Keller Police does not show much discernment. They appear to show little judgement and can collectively decide to make an arrest in spite of evidence, or even the ability to perform basic scrutiny of events. Inspector Clouseau would be proud of this bunch. read more

After discussing with MULTIPLE people, who have also been mishandled by Keller Police, I will be moving forward with a complaint. I'd like to state I'm not the victim, I was pulled over as I was pulling into Tom Thumb off Keller parkway because my registration was out. I also had multiple speeding tickets from 2017 that I had not paid and turned into warrants. However Monday night when I was arrested, and the way I was treated by two officers one being Garrett 332..... the manor in which I was searched and handcuffed with marks on my wrist.... Even after hours of being released.. they need to evaluate their protocol. The booking officers were so kind, and treated me as a human. But the officers who arrested me... there is a reason officers have a bad name. If I was a criminal with a dangerous background, sure I understand the force is necessary but as a civilian with speeding tickets who turned into warrants.. I don't need to be searched to the extreme I was, nor handcuffed with the force that was used applying pressure to my wrist. Two men of the opposite race, abused their power. As a woman of Keller, I know longer feel safe in this proximity. It's so disheartening that this is not the first time men of a certain race have abused their power of the law. OK, let's all be honest with one another. Most of us, at one point or another, have had some sort of Police intervention in our lives, right? While we're being honest, I think the vast majority of the time, Police are in the right, and if we're caught speeding, we shouldn't moan and groan if we get a ticket. If we commit a crime, or break the law, we need to look at ourselves in the mirror, and not point the finger at someone else. Just my thoughts... Unfortunately, after my interactions with the Keller Police Department, I don't hold, or view them in the same respected category, as lets say their neighbors at the Fort Worth Police Department. Read on. *Disclaimer: This review is solely based on my recollection. 1. My interaction: While driving S on 377, a Motorcycle Cop pulled me over. He, in my opinion, rudely inquired as if I knew why he pulled me over. Honestly, I had no clue, I responded. He, of course asked me for my license, insurance & he pointed out that the inspection sticker had expired. Now, here's where it gets tricky: I own a car lot, and the vehicle I was driving was owned, and registered to one of my customer's who just died. He was killed when his work truck went off the road. His car, in which I was the lien holder (I financed the car to him) was left at his employer's parking lot. They (his employer), asked me to remove the vehicle. Since I was the lien holder, and there was still a balance due on the car, I was taking it back to my place of business. Since this was the first experience that I've ever had with a customer dying, this was all confusing, and quite honestly, very sad. Back to Officer Asshole. I, politely tried explaining this situation to Officer Asshole. In fact, I had all of the appropriate documentation with me (proof of my customer's death, title, showing I'm the lien holder, etc.). But no, Officer Asshole didn't care. He just, in a condescending, arrogant manner, informed me that the expired inspection sticker was *my* responsibility. For real? My customer just fucking died, and you're going to cop {pun intended} this attitude!? This Dick of an Officer wrote me a ticket, and blatantly, in my view (opinion) refused to listen to anything I said. Reasoning with this Asshole was impossible! So, after being thoroughly disgusted with this incident, I decided to report Officer Asshole to Internal Affairs. Just like Officer Asshole, the Sergeant I spoke to exuded the same arrogant, and condescending demeanor. He defended the Officer 100%, and even insinuated that I was lying. No compassion; no heart. Simply an arrogant prick! Not one to roll over, I told him that I would fight the ticket in Court. Fast forward to my Court date. I told the Judge of my intent to plead not guilty, and he had a puzzled look. He said I could plead my case to the Prosecutor, in which I did. The Prosecutor, was a real person. By being a real person, she listened, and even had sympathy concerning the death of my customer. After seeing the proof, she immediately said that she would drop the ticket. No further questions- she was what most people are: real, and genuine. 2. Neighbor's interaction: My neighbor was leaving a restaurant / bar in Keller, also on 377, and he was ticketed for public intoxication. OK, normal offense, right? No, not really. He was with his wife, and his wife had the car keys, and she was driving. He was simply exiting the restaurant / bar, and walking directly to his car. According to him, there was a "sting," and he was one of the targeted individuals. So, if you walk out of a restaurant / bar, and you have a designated driver, and you are simply walking directly to your car- not bothering anyone else, or acting out, you can get a public intoxication ticket from the Keller Police. This is precisely why I refused to ever drink in a restaurant, or bar that's in Keller proper. Great for local business growth, huh? 3. A Fort Worth Police Officer's take on the Keller Police Department: We hate them! We will not drive into the city limits of Keller, because they will purposely pull us over. They are on a power trip, and we will boycott Keller businesses, due to them pulling us over for any reason. *Disclaimer: Items 2 & 3 are versions that I overheard from my neighbor, and a Fort Worth Police Officer. I cannot validate the accuracy of what was conveyed to me. But, after my interactions with these Assholes, I do believe them 100%! On Friday May 18th, Driving in Bear Creek Park, A Keller police Tahoe with the words "supervisor" failed to signal with less than 75 feet before making a right turn onto Bear Creek Parkway. Normally I don't care, I'm happy that someone is using turn signals. But since the Keller Police department is pulling people over for this violation then all Police officers (even supervisors) have to obey the laws too. I called Friday and left a message for Captain Talkington and got no response . I had to call today and he seemed defensive and said "I'll look into it". Didn't take my phone number for a follow-up, didn't appologize, he just asked if I got a ticket when I was pulled over. I said several times that I was not ticketed after repeately asking me if I had. I'm a big police supporter, but not today. read more

My family has a history of police service for over 60 years. Due to my work with various groups that have interaction with departments irate Keller is one of the most professional I've ever dealt with. Their officers are polite infirm as well as sometimes just downright funny. Well done Keller, your service to the community is appreciated. read more
