For the home owner, Alida makes sure the house is in perfect condition before and after any short term rental. Whereas the typical property manager does a quick and superficial walk through, Alida takes her time to thoroughly inspect the house and grounds and communicates frequently about anything she notices. When rentals are slower, she promotes my property on social media and handles pricing adjustments to increase rentals during off seasons. Alida stacks her team with the best local contractors so issues can be fixed quickly if needed. When I explained multiple times that I wasn't interested in new construction, partly because I knew that there would be potential for cost overruns as well as my inability to be onsite regularly to ensure that everything was going smoothly, she pitched her services to manage the construction and then questioned my ability to afford it. This was frustrating but manageable. The more significant lack of respect for me and my time came when we had worked to schedule a day of showings. I have limited time and would need to travel for the showings and the evening beforehand she canceled the entire day because it was scheduled to rain. She claimed that I would be unable to appreciate any of the houses unless it was sunny and told me to "check the Zillow listings to find the agents if I wanted to see them myself."
