Best groomer I ever found for my Carin Terrier. She is good at what she does, reasonably priced, and fast. My dog came out the door looking good and not traumatized like he was at some other places that I had previously taken him. He was almost seventeen and she was always attentive to that. I absolutely love Kellie's Dog House. I have an American Bulldog that used to hate to have baths and have his nails trimmed, but some how Kellie can get him to climb the stairs to the bath and he gives her kisses while she trims his nails. Kellie is always a delight and my dog thinks so too! I changed from my last groomer because I realized I was spending more time brushing out my dog so that the groomer wouldn't scold me for having a matted dog. I slapped myself back into reality when I realized that's why I pay a groomer! Great things to know: Kellie is hard to book as she normally has a three-four week waiting period. Checks or cash only. Most of the time you'll have to leave a message but Kellie will call you right back as soon as she is in-between appointments. Your dog will look adorable with his specialty cut and seasonally themed bandanna. I no longer feel guilty about my groomer having to groom my dog. If I could just stop cleaning my house before the cleaning lady, I'll be on the road to a guilt-free life! read more

I'm new to oregon city and called Kellie to do a "walk in" trim of my dogs' nails. I have two "rescue" dogs, whose behavior is good but cautious. I don't do nails, their nails are black, I get anxious, dogs get anxious, makes for a good time, hence they go in to get them done by someone other than me. So, Kellie got me in, trimmed them up VERY quietly, kindly and gently. Everyone was good! Price was great, it was $7/dog. It's about 12/14 downtown PDX. Her place was quiet, easy to get to and clean. I'll be back. Place isn't fancy but it's local. I love shopping local. read more

The grooming was good, but the place had a bad vibe. While the groomer was talking to me she left another dog alone hooked up to the table - who was crying nonstop. When I came back there was another dog shaking on the table. Our dog is an energetic puppy who even has fun going to the vet - but he was so freaked out afterwards that he just wanted to be pet for hours. I get that grooming can be stressful, but it was strange seeing every dog there freaked out. The groomer also made comments to me about how dumb it was that they keep mixing poodle with everything, and about how she doesn't like sheepdogs (my pup is a poodle sheepdog mix). When my dog got weird because the other dog was crying and barking the groomer started to lecture me about needing to socialize my dog. It was a strange experience. read more

Worst experience ever. I went to have my 8 month old puppy groomed ended up with a puppy with a chunk cut out of his ear!! He came home wearing a cone of shame because "my puppy" wasn't trained for grooming! I understand accidents but this was gross incompetence! read more

Kellie's Dog House (formally of Oregon City I gathered from the other reviews) is a cute little country grooming shop. The shop was so clean, I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't smell like wet dog or cleaning products. I have a French bulldog that hates to have his nails trimmed. The place I regularly take him was full and he really needed a trim. Nail trims are usually stressful for my dog. Our usual place would have me hold him with a towel over his head while she trimmed his nails ( and my dog screamed like he was being skinned alive). Kellie took my dog's leach after greeting us and lead him to her grooming table. She secured him front and rear while talking to him the entire time. My dog didn't even object to the nail trim until half way through. She finished his nails with some verbal objections from Arlow but, it was so much better than usual. We have found a new grooming for sure. read more

I happened upon Kellie's Dog House after moving to West Linn. They've groomed by two tiny yorkies repeatedly. There's two groomers so getting a last minute appointment is nearly impossible. My dogs love going there and apparently so do many other dogs. read more

I will never take my dog back to this place again! First of all, Kelly wasn't even a very nice person in general and she was definitely not nice or soothing or comforting to my dog at all!! Maybe she was just having a bad day, but she shouldn't have treated my dog so badly. :( read more

I like to give business to small business owners, but Kellie's parking lot is small and difficult to negotiate, she gave me a hard time about pick up and worst of all, she cut my dog's face & neck . I found out when I got home & my 10-year old small mixed breed dog started bleeding from her face and neck. Kellie neglected to tell me and charged me full price, $45.00 ~ my dog had to wear a collar for two weeks until her wounds healed. I came close to having vet expenses in addition to grooming fees. This was hands down the worst dog grooming experience I've ever had. read more
