They don't have dance picture spots for all kids who attend class. Clearly not a place to learn ballet or tap. Even at the show the older kids ballet and tap was sub-par at best. I took dance for 18 years and this was the worse experience. I would have pulled my daughter sooner if parents had been allowed to watch the classes at all. the only good thing I will say, is at the performance the clearly should only specialize in hip hop and jazz which is obviously their interest and strength.

Took two classes here during National Dance Week with discounted rates and enjoyed both of them!…read more One was Hip Hop on Monday at 7, the other was movement on Wednesday at 5:30. The instructors went out of their way to make everyone feel welcomed, respected, and comfortable, the facilities were beautiful and well maintained, and the prices are reasonable, even without the discount. There is no parking lot bur street parking was really easy both times I went. If I had one suggestion for improvement it's that I wish there was less time spent on talking and introductions during class, and more time spent learning choreography (a one hour class turned into maybe 40 minutes of dancing) but it does allow for a community to develop. I'll definitely be back! Thanks Dancing Grounds! Update: I did realize the classes were 75 min not 60, but still you should expect to be in a circle talking / introducing yourself / saying affirmations for the first few minutes which might throw you if you weren't prepared for it or are introverted!

The owner has cut my child from the revue 3 weeks before it and refuses to refund the money for the extremely cheap costume. She said I wasn't giving the teacher a chance because she was young which is absolutely not true. She threatened to send her attourney after me for saying on social media that they were unorganized. The class this year was terrible. I rarely saw a teacher help a child with their dance moves. What a huge waste of money and time not to mention my child is suffering because of it.

The "dance mom's" are super nice, but the instructors/owners... Clueless. Al... Sorry, Mr Al, probably should not be working with newbies. Finally, my wife being Bloc Country pushy, finally get someone to show them something. Well, it's just a bunch of baby girls running around. When questioned, oh... Wednesday is the day they want. Their year-end revues are entertaining and professional with great choreography and production values. The babies really do dance, and the teens are incredible. I love the reserved first-row at the revue for parents. There's an open viewing window to watch the dancers during class. So thankful that I choose KKD for my daughter.

The tickets indicated this, but this was not the case. Other schools revues separate because no one from one school is interested in dancers from another school. The poor toddlers & younger groups were mixed in with all the other dancers which created them being too tired to perform & cranky. It would be better for everyone involved to allow the smaller kids perform first, intermission then the older girls. This is what is being done at other schools. Let's face it, no one wants to be there for 3 1/2 hours & it's not fair to the kids. Please consider these suggestions for next year. I know the dancers, mothers, fathers & grandparents will sincerely appreciate it.
