Fries didn't come loaded as ordered but we're still nice Seasoned quality fries. We also order drinks from the bar which were a Long Island for him and I got the blue tripic lemonade. They were amazing; right amount of liquor for an enjoyable movie night. My only complaint is how far the restrooms are- near the exit door at the front of the building. Otherwise, 10/10 would go again.

I was completely blown away at the quality of this movie theatre! There were only like three people in the theatre to watch this movie. The seats recline all the way back, and they even come with trays for those who got food. The trays are removable. You get to pick where you sit when you buy the tickets, so my friend and I got the back row in the middle. The screen was big and volume was just right. The whole theatre was clean! I didn't even smell good or even see food unless someone ordered it. I was very impressed. There is a bar out front with huge tvs, so if you didn't want to go for a movie, you could just go to watch some games. Very impressed by this theatre!

Stake & shrimp. The shrimp would be better grilled and the greens are too crunchy for my liking.

They have a decent selection of shows that highlight local talent. In December I saw a local interpretation of It's a Wonder Life, entitled It's a Wonderful Life, Y'all and resets the action to New Orleans with many local nods and jokes. The production creativity was great. The whole show was put on by 5 actors which was amazing. And the sets and props were standouts. The main theater holds over 300 seats and the Lagniappe theater is smaller. The night I was there, the theater was packed but still comfortable and the theater is fully accessible for those using wheelchairs. There was also a concession stand selling snacks and mulled wine. Definitely a fun spot to spend an evening.

The theater itself is charming, cozy, and very comfortable, with multiple seating options, a definite plus. The staff was friendly and helpful, which truly enhanced the overall experience. Jefferson Performing Arts Center took my breath away...and bot in a good way…read more I've been to Jefferson Performing Arts Center many times, and usually, it's a shining example of how to host a stellar event. The seats are comfy, the staff is welcoming, the logistics run like clockwork, and the acoustics are consistently phenomenal--every note rings out perfectly, no matter where you sit. Last night's Black Jacket Symphony performance of Led Zeppelin's music was no exception on the performance side--just incredible. But oh, let's talk about the atmosphere. When I stepped into the auditorium, I wasn't met with the warm embrace of a perfectly tuned heating system. No, I was smacked in the face by a wall of heat so intense I briefly considered whether Led Zeppelin might've been covering Hot for Teacher. Thankfully, someone on staff noticed that the audience wasn't exactly giving a standing ovation to the HVAC situation and turned the heat off. But then came the second act of discomfort: stagnant air. The kind of air that just sits there, like a guest at a dinner party who refuses to leave. No fans, no circulation--just a thick, unmoving mass of stuffiness that somehow felt more oppressive than the heat itself. And here's the thing: when you're in a packed room where the average age skews over 60, and you add in the not-so-subtle aroma of decades of cigarette smoking clinging to clothing? Let's just say it wasn't a breath of fresh air. The show itself was phenomenal--so good that I stayed despite feeling like I was trying to breathe through a wet blanket. But honestly, Jefferson Performing Arts Center, you've got to do better. Temperature control and air circulation aren't just "nice-to-haves"; they're the baseline for a venue of this caliber. I want to keep coming back for these incredible performances, but next time, let's make sure the only thing taking my breath away is the music--not the HVAC drama.

I have been going to these shows off and on ever since I was old enough to own a gun. The shows haven't changed in years. The way it works is vendors rent tables from the show and sell their wares. You can find guns, ammo, knives, patches, beef jerky, survival gear, etc. at this show. The problem is that there are so many tables, it is easy to become bored. If I am just there to browse I usually only make it three or four aisles before boredom sets in. There are only so many overpriced pistols I can fondle. if you are looking for something specific, the show may be a good place to start, There are hundreds of guns on display so you can actually handle them prior to purchase. Many of the vendors are very knowledgeable as well so you can gain valuable insight into particular weapons. prices have always seemed high to me so I suggest internet research before purchasing a gun here. At the most recent show, I did not find what I was looking for, but I did find a bunch of antique firearms. Many were very expensive, but it was cool to see guns that helped win the west and many different wars. In summary, the gun show is entertaining, but once every few years is enough for me.

But it is still basically the same show that has been going on since I was a little kid. The show has lost its luster for me. I can only look at so many guns before I am ready to go. When I went last weekend I sold an old Sig P226 to a vendor and he bought it from me without any kind of paperwork. We agreed upon a price and then he gave me cash. Nothing else. I found that odd but that's the first time I have sold a gun so maybe that is normal. The gun show is still a cool and convenient all-in-one spot for gun lovers!
