Kellogg Park is a fun gathering spot in the heart of downtown Plymouth. In the summer, there are concerts, outdoor yoga, and the weekend farmer's market. In the fall, there is Scarecrows in the Park. In the winter, holiday decorations and the tree lighting display go up. There are always festivals in downtown Plymouth every season that run through Kellogg Park. There is the Ice Festival, Holiday Market, Michigan's 2nd largest art fair called Art in the Park, the Plymouth Fall Festival, Spring Artisan Market, and many more events. Plymouth outbeats other upscale suburban metro Detroit cities for fun activities due to the sheer number of festivals happening year-round in and around Kellogg Park and downtown. As much as I love the festivals and markets, Kellogg Park is very small and surrounded by parking and traffic. It's the kind of park for a stroll, not a place where you can do more than that for exercise, which is unfortunate. It would be nice to have more walking paths and exercise areas in Plymouth, but it's too small as it is. read more

This is a nice little small town park in the heart of Plymouth. It hosts variety of seasonal events for adults and kids round the year. Always an active place, last year I was here for the ice festival. It's a family friendly park that is great for a stroll. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants around the park. Grab a bite and relax by walking around. This review is for the "Walk of Trees" event in this park. We enjoyed trees lining the walkways of the Park decorated by a local family, club, business or organizations in the Plymouth Community. It was beautiful at night with lights in the trees. The trees are officially lit the day after Thanksgiving and remain up until the New Year. It's a free event and wonderful way to honor a loved one. read more

A beautiful park with a ton of space to grab a meal and relax, catch up with friends or family, enjoy the fountain, listen to music or other events. Pre pandemic, concerts were popular here, my church even had outside service here a few times. Post pandemic, it is a good area to social distance and enjoy the summer whether it be during the day, afternoon or evening. Tonight it was a gathering spot for friends and our kids.I live a hour away but knowing the options available may visit again as I enjoyed the park a lot. Been here for a meetup yesterday for Ice sculpture and it was a nice experience strolling around these amazing art that's carved out of Ice. Probably there is nothing much in the park expect benches to relax except the events that will be held . Charming little park in the middle of downtown Plymouth. Home of numerous festivals and fairs like Art in the Park, the Plymouth Ice Fair, etc. The perfect spot for lounging and and relaxing on a nice day, strolling with some kiddos or a pup, or just parking under a tree and reading for a bit. Being that it's right in the middle of town there are plenty of snack and beverage options if you want to grab a bite and picnic it up. Well maintained, the fountain is lovely and provided lots of loitering opportunities when I was in high school. Make like 17 year old Annette (or present day 31 year old Annette for that matter) and grab a beverage at the Plymouth Coffee Bean, settle in and and relax to the sounds of lovely water in the sunshine! read more

Big disappointment this year with the ice sculptures. In the past years all business near the park would have a themed ice sculpture in front of their business, not this year. With the freezing weather this year, you would of thought most them melted away. Only Ford Company had a good one and they always do every year. Many big companies such as MGM Grand Casino opted out this year. Unknown why it was lacking lots of ice sculptures, but they need to get it together before Ice Sculpture weekend gets cancelled like the Chili cook off! read more

I had my first kiss in Kellogg park after a show at the Penn theater. It has changed over the years, gah I still cannot adjust to the new fountain, but it is a place of many memories for me. It is so nostalgic and wonderful. I have worked the fall festival in this spot. I have eaten the famous Rotary Club chicken dinner every single September here. I photographed my friends for the yearbook here. I once spent a late night showing James the joys of an ice sculpture fest in the wee hours of 3 am (only time to go for my money) when his Cali/Nevada behind was not used to a Michigan winter, kissing to stay warm while we watched the carvers make new images. I have listened to jazz many a summer night here, running into old friends from a lifetime ago with their little ones. More than once I have stuffed my face with chili here under the color filled trees. I have admired Christmas trees decked out by local groups and every year I have watched the wise men make their slow, steady reliable march across the park. It is a small park but it is truly the heart of Plymouth. Everything seems to happen around this mini oasis. It is always shady and restful in the summer, a comforting escape at all times of the year. If you have lived here you know what I mean. read more

I love going to Kellogg park in Plymouth, MI. In fact I wait for the Summer to come each year, just to enjoy the "free concerts in the park". They call it "Music in the Air"! Every year from Memorial day through Labor day, we get to enjoy free concerts on the lawn in the park. There are people dancing, kids laughing and playing, dogs running on leashes and even some young adults trying their feet at tightrope walking between the trees.Every Summer there is "George"an older retiree in the park at the concert and dancing to his hearts content, with his cane and his glow or light up glasses and suspenders on! We love the park because it's kept up nicely and they even have "doggie doo doo" bags for people to be polite and pick up after their pet does his business. There are many restaurants in the surrounding area and you can bring food over to the park and have a picnic. There are many benches to sit on or you can bring your own comfortable fold up chairs. You can walk to the ice cream parlor or the Yogurt, or candy shops and get a bite or a "slurp"! That is only the Summer fun! In the Fall time, the park has the "Fall Festival" with it's booths for non-profits and other kind of fun things to do and see. There are wall to wall people everywhere and usually some kind of entertainment again, in the park. There is a popcorn machine too, did I mention that? There's almost always someone working in the popcorn machine "old fashioned truck". Also they sell different hot and cold foods during some of the concerts and other events. In the Winter time, January, they have the park filled with ice sculptors and chunks of ice and people with all kinds of tools, shaving away; making gorgeous likenesses of many different icons and such! In October, they bring out the different businesses that each have a scarecrow dressed up with the name of their business on it and a likeness of something to do with what they do. For example, the Orthodontist office has a scarecrow with braces on! I love going around and looking at all of these scarecrows and you know that Fall is on the downside and Winter is coming! Lastly, in the Summer time, in July they also have the "Art in the Park". It's always the second weekend of the month. They have over 150 vendors and "artsy fartsy" people and things to do and see! There are so many art booths and so much food and music and so much to see and do! You always pray for a nice weekend during "Art in the Park" at Kellogg park. There is a "Chilli cook off" during the year and a few other things, that I usually don't attend, but these are all of the main things and I do attend them. This past Friday night, we went and walked around the park, sat on the bench and listened to "Oldies" songs ans some "hip hop" too! We enjoyed an ice cream cone and had a wonderful time as always! read more

Kellogg Park is in the heart of downtown Plymouth, and a centerpiece and meeting point for people of all ages. A few years ago, Plymouth had a beautiful fountain in the place of this current one. A contractor was performing some work on or around the piece, knocked it over, broke it and did not have sufficient insurance to cover the accident. Now, Plymouth is stuck with a mediocre fountain thanks to one dumb shit that did not have his act together. If I actually had spare time, I often think to start a fundraiser to bring back a beautiful centerpiece for the park and the Plymouth community whom enjoy this place so much. The Saturday morning Plymouth farmers market is held at the Gathering and outskirts of Kellogg Park. Several annual local events like Fall Festival, Art in the Park, the Green Street Fair and Plymouth Ice Festival all utilize this prime, Plymouth location. Two times a week during the summer months, live music is played in the park. People flock to the lawn with blankets and folding chairs, bring snacks and drinks and enjoy the tunes under the rich, green foliage of beautiful old trees. Kellogg Park may be in the 'heart' of downtown Plymouth, it also has arteries, a heartbeat and above all; soul. During the warmer months old and young alike go for a walk, meet at the fountain for a little rendez vous, sit down at one of the many benches or take a seat somewhere on the lawn or under a tree. It is the perfect spot for a picknick, quiet self-time with a book or a playdate with your little one. Definitely an adorable and comfortable park. The benches with a view of the fountain always look so inviting we frequently park opposite where we plan to go, just to walk through the park on our way. As busy as downtown events get, there always seems to be room to rest on a bench, or on the edge of the fountain, or on the grass under a tree. Kellogg Park is small but really pretty. It sits in the heart of Plymouth's really cute and thriving downtown area. You can tell the city prides itself on keeping the downtown looking old-fashioned and unique, and it's anchored by many, many small independent restaurants and retail stores. Right in the middle of all this shopping is Kellogg Park. It has lots of big trees and shady benches, and people were eating sandwiches in the park on their lunch breaks on a recent weekday afternoon. There's also a picturesque fountain and a historic plaque. This park is the site of cool local events, too. It's a great family park. Yet it has something for everyone. Restaurants, bars and a family park. They have activities all year long. Truly a great place to be. In the summer they have Friday night concerts. Wednesdays, in the morning, they have programs for the kids. In the fall you can personally, or a business, any organization can sponsor a scarecrow. During Christmas, it is the same thing, but it's a Christmas tree. They are all displayed in the park for people to view. Music is played during the Christmas season through the loud speakers. I've spent a fair amount of time here, through various festivals and just being a kid who spend a lot of time growing up in Plymouth. Seeing my sister's family growing up just a stone's throw away, you can tell how public space really adds to quality of life for an individual and a community. My favorite area in Plymouth! A perfect place for a date. You can walk around, shop, have dinner in downtown Plymouth, grab a ice cream at kilwin's or dairy king, get tickets for the penn theatre, then evening walk in the park. (I did that many times~!) Nice chillin park. It's like a neighborhood park you would see in the movies. All white people! I was the darkest person there.. That is until I seen the darkest A-rab alive at this park. Kamal Abraham popped up out of nowhere. This Dearborn A-rab is everywhere! I go to Miami, he's there...I go to Beverly Hills, he's there..Now I go to this park in whiteville middle of nowhere and yes, he's there folks! My man Kamal! Since Canton is too filled with busy 5 lane roads and strip malls, it is really nice to have Plymouth nearby with such a great downtown area centered on Kellogg Park. This place is amazing in every season. I have lived here basically my whole life with my grandma and mother. Other then living in Livonia as well with my father during high school but even then every weekend I would come here and any free time I ever had. After school I moved in for good. The park area is extra special to me and I think to everyone in or around the area. In the summer there is children in the park playing by the fountain and also teens, adults and older people. Any age has a good time. So summer u get music in the park every Friday as well as other events in and around the park. Yes streets are closed for a week sometimes. And I live really close to uptown Plymouth or downtown Plymouth. Everyone has there way to say it. So back to summer, also if u are there on Fridays for the music u must first go to Dairy King. Everyone knows it's the best ice cream around. They tried putting in one of those cold stones. There was never a chance of that place coming even close to Dairy King in any way. People say such amazing things about cold stone and I do like it but dairy king is more then ice cream. First off, there ice cream is so creamy, always perfect in a cup or cone and all the teen employees have worked there awhile. Dairy king has been here for many many years and if u go inside u will see pictures on the wall of the years it began and it's amazing. Plus the owner is there everyday and is working just as much as every one else. So shows love. So summer is mainly about everything. U can walk along and just enjoy everything or eat at any place that has out door eating areas. Fall, Halloween they put up pumpin men and scarecrows and the park area is line all around with them. Winter, I've festival. I actually heard people travel very far to come to plymouth's ice festival. Ice does melt so the best time is the begining. Spring time, well spring starts that perfect weather before summer when it's around 60 or maybe 70 degrees and people just enjoy the park and the weather. This was way to long. But I do really appreciate everything Plymouth has. Especially the Plymouth firefighters and police officers that keep Plymouth safe and special to us. read more
