It's a wonderful way to socialize with other toddlers and parents too. I have seen an improvement in the way she plays with others since coming here to dance. She gets excited to go to Tutu class! The instructors are phenomenal with little dancers and meet them where they are. There is no pushing no drilling... just playfulness and inclusiveness. And it's incredible to see what young kids pick up on when they're not being pushed. My daughter does pliés, passés, and pirouettes in the kitchen daily and even says their names correctly! This is definitely a special place where they encourage fun and creativity. It's so playful and cute. Plus the owners of the studio truly care about you and your child's experience. We signed our daughter up for the 3-5 year old 6-week trial ballet class earlier this year. Thankfully it was just a trial class. Weeks 1 and 2 went pretty well. On Week 3, the instructor didn't know how to get the sound system set up to work with music and spent more than half the time trying to figure it out, rather than moving on and teaching. While she was doing this, the girls were just sitting around or running to their parents. I went to the front desk to see if there was anyone who could help, only to find a note saying nobody was there and wouldn't be there for a few days. The rest of that class was spent playing freeze tag with the girls. The remaining weeks were spent essentially playing freeze tag with about ten minutes of trying to teach technique and a routine to the girls. I had conversations with several of the parents who wondered why we were bringing our children here to play a game we could play with our girls at home. Several of the parents were frustrated, and rightfully so. I tried calling the studio during business hours. Nobody answered, so I left a detailed voicemail. I never received a response. Since the class ended, I have received three additional charges to my credit card from Dance Unlimited, which should have never happened in the first place. Communication has been nonexistent, and the 3-5 year old trial class was more of a babysitting session where the girls played freeze tag. If you have young children who are genuinely interested in dance and looking to learn, if you're looking for a place that communicates well with parents, if you're looking for an experience that is anything other than frustrating, I'd suggest trying another studio.

There is a big studio as soon as you enter with two large mirrors and then a smaller studio in the back. The instructors are outstanding. They have a really good method and everyone picked up the dance (in this case the bachata). It is OK to sign up if you do not have a partner because the rotate through partners often (which seems to help you learn). They also have social events were you can practice the dances you learned. Sound in Motion is a really nice place to learn to dance.

Our granddaughter was sick with covid and missed 2 classes(which Becky demanded dr notes for), then, we found out that the dance recital was on her cousins wedding (she was the flower girl). Beckys' response? Reschedule the wedding! Seriously! She then threw her off the team and states we owe her tuition for the next 6 months. BEWARE parents, there has to be a better place to go, we sure wish we had read past the first few reviews, we now see she has her friends BURY them!
