The instructors are phenomenal with little dancers and meet them where they are. There is no pushing no drilling... just playfulness and inclusiveness. And it's incredible to see what young kids pick up on when they're not being pushed. My daughter does pliés, passés, and pirouettes in the kitchen daily and even says their names correctly! We signed our daughter up for the 3-5 year old 6-week trial ballet class earlier this year. Thankfully it was just a trial class. Weeks 1 and 2 went pretty well. On Week 3, the instructor didn't know how to get the sound system set up to work with music and spent more than half the time trying to figure it out, rather than moving on and teaching. While she was doing this, the girls were just sitting around or running to their parents. I went to the front desk to see if there was anyone who could help, only to find a note saying nobody was there and wouldn't be there for a few days. The rest of that class was spent playing freeze tag with the girls. The remaining weeks were spent essentially playing freeze tag with about ten minutes of trying to teach technique and a routine to the girls. I had conversations with several of the parents who wondered why we were bringing our children here to play a game we could play with our girls at home. Several of the parents were frustrated, and rightfully so. I tried calling the studio during business hours. Nobody answered, so I left a detailed voicemail. I never received a response. Since the class ended, I have received three additional charges to my credit card from Dance Unlimited, which should have never happened in the first place. Communication has been nonexistent, and the 3-5 year old trial class was more of a babysitting session where the girls played freeze tag. If you have young children who are genuinely interested in dance and looking to learn, if you're looking for a place that communicates well with parents, if you're looking for an experience that is anything other than frustrating, I'd suggest trying another studio.

I have spent years trying to talk my husband into taking dance lessons, when I finally gave up he surprised me with a gift certificate for mother's day. I jumped on it and booked our first lesson. We got to experience a private lesson, group class and practice party, maybe 2 private lessons, i don't remember but it was more than enough for us to fall in love with dancing. We were hooked after our first lesson!! WE, not just me, my hubby lives it too. He started watching dancing videos! All of our instructors have been great, so patient, fun and encouraging. We have one main instructor whom we adore and is incredible (we love you Mando!) But we also really enjoy dancing with the other instructors too, it's always nice to get someone else's perspective and sometimes hearing or seeing something a different way is just the path you need to finally get it. They truly are a team working together to help you be your best. We love festival time, it's probably our favorite time. We get to support our teachers and wear costumes. SO MUCH FUN! I recommend dancing at Arthur Murray to everyone. Bonus is that it has been great exercise for both of us and we are healthier than we have been in years! It's our date night, therapy sessions, gym membership and best stress reliever. Try it, you won't be dissapointed. BTW, you don't need a spouse or to bring someone with you, there are plenty of people that go on their own, I've also seen couples have their own lessons because there schedules don't match up or they want different things, it doesn't matter, come alone, bring your significant other to watch our come with a friend, just do it.

It's been challenging in the past to find something she truly enjoys and feels comfortable with, especially since she has mild autism and we've had some difficult experiences before. From the moment we walked into Illusion, I felt completely at ease. The staff has been nothing short of amazing--kind, patient, and very welcoming. Seeing my daughter so happy and excited to go every Monday and Wednesday means everything to me. She's now enrolled twice a week doing jazz and ballet.

They have a really good method and everyone picked up the dance (in this case the bachata). It is OK to sign up if you do not have a partner because the rotate through partners often (which seems to help you learn). They also have social events were you can practice the dances you learned. Ella tried a class and it was younger kids she's five so the next time they let her change class because she was older and she knew a little bit of ballet from learning at home. I really liked that because they noticed that she was a little advance to be with the smaller kids so moved her to bigger kids. And another part of the reason we stayed is the receptionist. She's great. She's funny she's always willing to help and she always has the answer. Looking forward to fall classes and to seeing Lacey.

Kelly is motivating, fun, energizing, caring, and manages to create a close-knit group among her students. She goes the extra mile (or ten!) and adds prizes, contests, and other fun touches to give her students little boosts along the way. Her routines are amazing -- her dance background shows -- and just makes every single song fun. I'm very uncoordinated, with zero dance background -- and I still have a great time. Kelly, and her students, are warm, welcoming, and seem only to be interested in having a great time and making everyone feel at home. A testament to Kelly and the group is several have been coming to class for years -- a rarity in other zumba classes I've tried. This is a great class for both beginners and advanced Zumba-nistas (at least two of the group are instructors themselves!). Ages seem to run from late '20's to '70's -- and everyone has a wonderful (and challenging) time working out.
