And I've worked front office and back office with physicians, I know it can be done. Anyway, an acquaintance of mine posted about improvements to her health. I wanted a change so I pressed her for some details. She happily told me about the naturopaths at NSNM. In March 2012, I admittedly made my first appointment with a little hesitation. I didn't have much experience with alternative medicine except for home remedies that my grandmother did. I went into the clinic with an open mind. Julie checked me in with little fuss and I made a cup of tea while I waited. My wait was minimal. Jennifer came into the waiting room, introduced herself, and led me back to the exam room for my first visit. She listened. I mean, doctors are trained to listen but I got the sense that she was genuinely listening to everything that I said. The hour flew by easily. After several visits since then, I am a convert. I do not doubt the dedication that Jennifer has for her patients. She and Robin Sinclair (her clinic partner) genuinely care and listen to your concerns when discussing your healthcare needs. I've had both providers call me at home to check on me during my protracted bout with pertussis. Yeah... that was less than fun. A recent (and welcome) addition to their practice is a collaborative effort with Passionate Nutrition, a wonderful group of certified nutritionists. Jennifer Adler is my nutritionist and she listens without judgement. Check out my review for them if you want more information. Parking is easy and plentiful. Their second-floor location is easy to find and accessible via a small lift. At the end of your visit, your treatment plan will be sent home with you in case you forget what was prescribed or suggested. I cannot recommend them enough. Honestly, Jennifer, Robin, and Julie rock! PS. Dr. Lush was named in Seattle Met's "Top Doctors" for 2012. I think that makes three years in a row for her!

I called a week later to set up an appointment with a doctor and left a vm, never heard back. I called AGAIN, and whoever is answering your phones has no idea what they are doing. And quite frankly not helpful at all. Dr Schell, you should understand who is setting up or lack of setting up appointments for you, because you just lost a potential patient. Highly unprofessional.

I may finally be getting over it as I enter my fifth decade of life, but in general, I have struggled as a fainter when dealing with anything medical, especially needles and vaccines. Drs. Joshua and Nadya have always put me at ease. In fact, I don't believe I have ever fainted with them, which surprises me now that I'm writing this, but makes me know that they are the right doctors for me. I trust them for everything concerning my health, and now Dr. Nadya is the pediatrician for my son born in 2022. Dr. Nadya helps me with massage therapy when my muscles are out of whack. Dr. Joshua helps me with chiropractic work when my body is out of alignment. They keep me healthy, as I try to work with them proactively, and if needed, reactively. I really appreciate their time, as my appointments are often an hour long. They are great listeners, and great resources. They are good people, and good parents. (When they were my neighbors, they brought their children to my house trick-or-treating, and their kids sang me a song - they were my favorite trick-or-treaters that year.) I can't say enough good things about Natural Reflections Healthcare. Lois is their no-nonsense receptionist who makes sure you get your documents and other office needs met. I moved to Whidbey Island and tried to see another naturopath, thinking I didn't want to take the ferry to see them anymore, but I was wrong. They are worth the effort! They are sincere and caring. If you have a preference for naturopathic medicine, and want the benefit of a pair of doctors who care for you as a whole person, I don't think you can go wrong with these two. Of course medicine is very personal, but if what I've described sounds like the kind of medical attention that your health prefers, Drs. Joshua and Nadya are an impeccable choice.

I was…read morerepeatedly charged incremental fees for what should have been standard procedures or routine requests to insurance. The pricing was not transparent, and additional charges kept being added after the fact. It honestly felt like a bait-and-switch. I also had multiple issues with prescriptions being submitted incorrectly to the pharmacy, which caused lapses in medication I rely on. This happened more than once and required constant follow-up on my end to fix mistakes that shouldn't have been happening. What was most concerning was the lack of attention to my medical history. I went to this doctor specifically for a diagnosis I have had for over 10 years, and I repeatedly had to remind her of it. At several appointments, she even suggested I should be tested for something I had already been diagnosed and treated for years. That level of oversight made it very hard to trust the care I was receiving. In addition, the office used multiple electronic systems during the time I was a patient there (at least three different platforms). None of them worked well, and I was never able to consistently access my doctor's notes or my own patient records. This made it extremely hard to stay informed about my care. The only positive part of this office was the front desk staff, who were consistently kind and helpful. Overall, the combination of questionable billing, repeated prescription errors, poor attention to patient history, and difficulty accessing my medical records makes this a place I would not return to.

From my first appointment, more time was spent on selling me products (supplements, in-office IV's etc) than dealing with my current issues. The final kicker was my visit on 8/25/25 when I was charged $250.00 for an appt that lasted 20 minutes (although it was scheduled as a 30 minute appt, the doctor was running behind &, therefore, my visit was cut short so that she could accommodate her next patient. Also at the visit, I paid in cash $250.00 because they do not accept Medicare or any Medicare Advantage Plans. Imagine my surprise when I got a bill showing that Medicare had indeed been billed and an adjustment of $121.83 had been taken so, in reality, I only owed them $128.07. To date, I have not received any refund. Now, the real kicker........their office billed my Medicare, showing the cost of the visit being $300.00, not $250.00. I have now called their billing service twice with promises to get this corrected to no avail. I have also called my Humana Medicare Advantage Plan and filled a complaint. What this business has done is blatant FRAUD!!!! (My background is 50+ years in the medical billing arena in both private practice and hospital based billing). Also note that their billing company is located in INDIA & the two employees that I spoke with there seemed oblivious to insurance laws & the impact a fraudulent claim or claims can have on the survival of any practice. The owner, which I have in writing on an email she sent me, clearly states they do not accept patients on any Medicare plan. Dr Hoppins as well as one other provider in this office have recently left, I can only suspect because of the pressure to sell, sell, sell & inflate their billings. STAY AWAY!!!!
