After about the 3rd time he said that I thanked him and left. I was in the store 10 minutes tops. Saying something is going to be expensive is not good business. What one person might consider expensive might not be to another. Kitchen remodeling is costly and makes people uneasy knowing that they're in to spend some serious money. A warm greeting and pleasant demeanor speaks volumes about a business and helps a potential client a great deal.

Not only does Carrie and her partner, who own the store, have great pieces, they are remarkably affordable. We found the perfect-sized dresser for our toddler's room and Carrie painted it for us for an extremely reasonable price (she also had to spend a lot of time getting the stain just right on top, so it was no small job). The piece came out looking fantastic. If you like vintage-style furniture (e.g. annie sloan /distressed/Brooklyn flea mkt/etc.), this place is for you. You'll find beautiful dressers/sideboards/cupboards/mirrors/etc. that are far more affordable than comparable items you'll find in any other stores/fleas. My carpenter measured a vanity space and countertop for my aunt's bathroom. The vanity was situated…read morein an alcove. My carpenter was busy over several months, almost ten, so I brought his measurements to Exclusive Marble & Granite Design, accompanied by my husband. Asking for marble I was shown a remnant that was a good size. I instructed that the marble be cut with a bullnose edge and specified that I wanted a centered sink. My husband and I repeated the instructions in the showroom and were told there would be no problem. Due to coming down with Covid, my husband, aunt and I delayed finishing up the order. When we felt better, we made an appointment for the technicians to come to measure the countertop themselves. An older man, the congenial owner, arrived with an aide but he forgot his measuring tape. His aide went to the van for it. The owner measured and they left. I was told a few days later by the saleswoman that he had forgotten to measure for the faucet that was only a year old and that I had to do so. I said I preferred that he return and do it properly but she said he would not return. If I had not given a large deposit I would have cancelled the order.I had to take photos of the faucet and send it to them. I also ordered a vanity from the son with the measurements from my carpenter. Well, the marble top came nicely trimmed but with an off-center hole for the sink. Moreover, the measurements for the faucet were predictably wrong so I had to buy a new one, and the vanity was three inches short. My husband refused to accept the delivery of the vanity without a call to the office. The truck driver left while he was calling. Valdo refused to take it back or to deliver it. We had to hire another carpenter to pick it up in the showroom at the extra expense of three hundred dollars. It doesn't fit properly so the carpenter had to insert a border of wood. It took over a month to get the wood from the showroom. The sink is off-center and the vanity has a gap between the wall now on one side because the technicians did not center the vanity properly. I have spoken to the owner, his son, and the saleswoman several times and they were absolutely terrible to deal with. I read so many good reviews before hiring them. This has been the worst and most stressful and expensive experience I have ever had with sales people and owners.

He used the CAD system to make sure everything fit properly, and to help visualize creative ideas. In April of this year (2023), I purchased a table from White House in Wayne New Jersey. It was…read moredelivered in June and there were no issues with the delivery and everything was fine. Shortly after getting the table, I placed a couple of plastic bottles on it. Later, I noticed scratches where I had placed the bottles (see attached photo). I thought the scratches might just be marks on the surface and tried to rub them out. I used a plastic scrubber and only made matters worse. I contacted the sales rep at White House Furniture and their response was basically, "oh, well." They would do nothing to help me repair the damage aside from giving me the name of a refinisher. This is a DINING ROOM TABLE but now I am now afraid to put anything on it because it scratches so easily. This table, plus delivery cost me almost $2,000 and I am stuck with a table that needs to be covered to be used. I might as well have gone to a Bob's furniture store and purchased a cheap one if it is going to be covered all the time. I like working with the smaller vendors but will not support vendors who do not stand behind their products. Avoid these people.

The receptionist was courteous, and I vaguely remember her connecting me to Daniella who came to the front area when she called her. Before that I wandered through that showroom admiring the display of fine and interesting furniture and the overall ambiance. I was totally taken in. Daniella arrived smiling graciously and very matter-of-factly welcomed me into the fabric area. OMG! The array of samples, the tones, colors, variety and quantity. I am still surprised and proud that I walked out there with a decision. The end product rocks! Let me tell you why. Daniella is an expert at what she does. LISTENING to what I described as my need and interest. That is the skill of a professional. It must be understood that I was in fabric heaven and had to choose my robe, one prettier than the other. All I can say is Daniella had her head on in spite of my euphoria. I can go on but suffice it to say It was a moment at the fabric beach. The process of ordering/supplier contact was handled by my trusty designer. My take home orders were to take the materials with my cushions and pillows when they arrive to my upholsterer. Daniella's art of cording by size and effect also helped make the final project what was beyond my expectation. My home is a sweeter more beautiful living space than before. Daniella even understood and supported my idea to add motif planning with tiling that sealed my decor. I regret not paying her separately. .... And I did not overspend!!!!!

He took careful notes and made us think about other ways we could improve our home that we hadn't considered. But of course, lots of contractors promise big but underdeliver. That's not who Frank and Sue are. They and their team were committed to delivering work that both my husband and I were satisfied with. There were definitely times when we wanted to make some changes to what they had done, but they always made sure we were happy with the final result. I've heard a lot of horror stories lately about contractors not showing up or not delivering what they promised. So, I feel very fortunate that we found Frank and Sue because they were very reliable, fair and very concerned about customer satisfaction. Of course, I wish they could have worked faster at times but that was mainly due to material shortages which were totally out of their control. They and their team are warm and personable. While Frank oversaw the different crews doing the work, Sue helped us with our color choices for the painting and staining. She also helped us pick out our fixtures. During that whole time, they always remained professional and friendly.
