I got a septum piercing here around 2 years ago from Kelly. I was told that I had no sweet spot in my nose, and while I probably should have been turned away I still received the piercing, which was done very haphazardly. Eventually I went to another piercer who immediately found the sweet spot, who also found that I was pierced with jewelry that was much too big for the initial piercing. 1 Star - Appalling Lack of Basic Human Decency I don't normally write reviews, but after the treatment my girlfriend received at Kelly's Tattoo Shop, I feel compelled to warn others about the kind of people running this place. My girlfriend was shopping next door and suddenly experienced a very real and urgent situation: she started bleeding through her pants due to her menstrual cycle. It was a stressful and embarrassing moment that any woman could unfortunately find herself in. In search of a restroom, she stepped into Kelly's Tattoo Shop and politely asked if she could use their bathroom, clearly explaining it was an emergency related to her period. Instead of offering even an ounce of empathy or basic human compassion, the woman working there - a lady with an ugly blue side part (you'll know her when you see her) - blatantly lied and said there was no bathroom. My girlfriend, confused, pointed to a clearly visible sign that indicated there was in fact a restroom on the premises. That's when the employee snapped back with a cold and dismissive, "That's only for paying customers." Let me emphasize: this wasn't someone just looking to loiter or waste time. She was in an emergency, bleeding through her clothes, and was met with stone-cold indifference and hostility. The employee knew exactly what was happening and still turned her away. She didn't just say no - she chose to make an already vulnerable person feel ashamed and unwelcome. My girlfriend then had to run across the street to Passado's while actively bleeding through her pants just to find a restroom. Thankfully, they were kind and understanding - something Kelly's clearly is not. So let me be perfectly clear: if this is how Kelly's Tattoo Shop treats women in distress, especially in situations that require nothing more than a shred of empathy, I can't imagine how they treat paying clients who trust them with permanent work on their bodies. Shame on this business and especially that rude, unkind employee. I will never support this establishment, and I will actively discourage others from doing so. If basic humanity doesn't exist inside your storefront, then you don't deserve the community's business. read more

Well priced for piercings and the piercer was super kind and patient with all three of us. She did a spectacular job and talked through what she was doing. The shop is very clean and very bright. They had seating areas for those who wanted to watch their friends get tattooed or pierced so that was nice. My friend is going back to get a tattoo and she said hers was reasonably priced. I asked about some black and white line work down my spine and they priced it at $250-300. Which, and I'm sorry, but no. I have several tattoos. Several. I have a beautifully drawn scorpion on my back that cost $300. There's no way I'm spending $300 on some line work. Other than that, I really enjoyed everything about the shop. read more

Tattoo shops can be busy, but the lack of communication is poor. I've called and they said send email and we will get back to me on the tattoo I wanted done. I did. Finally someone reached out but wouldn't let me set appt. I tried calling again and they said re send email. It's just frustrating because you'd think they'd try to get business. I think there's only two people who work or actually tattoo. Waste of time trying. No one will get back to you. Go somewhere else. read more

On August 14th I had an appointment to get a tattoo and when I arrived the young lady wasn't there. I guess the owner I'm unsure but he told me she's out due to her pregnancy which I understand. He told me to email her and the email address I was given was false, so I went back in and asked for my deposit back which was $50. By the tone of his voice he really didn't want me to get it back. We went through the process of getting it back and I went back to my car and checked my card and my $50 deposit wasn't sent back to my card but I received a receipt from them in the shop stating it was sent back to my card. I don't recommend nobody who's African American to go here because they are undercover racist. The music they play and the music videos show confederate flags which are racist. read more

Called Kelly's tattoos to set up an appointment for a custom tattoo for my wife. Was initially apprehensive with their first tattoo person they had us talking to. He couldn't comprehend what we wanted but kept trying to sell us totally different and random tattoos. After we realized he didn't see what we wanted and couldn't grasp the concept. We were ready to walk away. In steps Kelly. Kelly gave a good first initial vibe for us. Understanding what we were looking for. actually sketched out a good start of what we were asking for. we had 4 sessions with Kelly to finish the tattoo. where he did three separate sections on 3 separate days. working for 2 hrs a day. During this process when we talked to Kelly about colors or the flow of the tattoo. he very abruptly dismissed us and our opinions. stating that he has done this for 30 years and he is trying to tell us what is best. over and over this is what we heard. Alot of people will ask why we didn't walk away. Well when you pay 1000 up front and have a man tattooing on your arm. you tend to be in a place of complete disadvantage. who really want to piss of a arrogant tattoo artist? anyways...... when Kelly deemed that he was done with the tattoo he asked our opinion. which was that it looked like it was 3 separate tattoos with random colors thrown at it. that it needed to be joined to be complete. which again he dismissed with how proud he was of it and with his 30 yrs experience Yada Yada yada......... we realized that he was going to put forth 0 effort to make right by what he claimed he would do. he was done listening and if we were paid up we could leave his shop. His words. my wife left crying thinking she was scared for life. with ugly mismatched colors that she was going to have to hide for the rest of her life. of course no check up from the proud honorable military man. If you want to go get clip art tattos done with no choice of design and someone telling you what you want. then Kelly is the man for you. Just bring a big ass wallet and a extra hand to keep patting him on his back while he brags about himself. if you are looking for something custom with color balance and a true artists touch steer clear from this shop. By the way the tattoo he was so proud of is posted nowhere on his pages. wonder why not? If you are looking for a true artist or have to get one of Kellys Tattoos fixed yourself.. there is one true award winning artist that I would highly recommend. TATTOOS BY PATTIE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND KELLY'S!!! I had a tattoo done ABOUT a month ago, I called them within a week of the time that I had it done and told them that I wanted them to fill in some spots that didn't look good or to my liking. They tell me wait till it is healed...understanding!! I waited a few weeks came back, they said we are busy come back....okay. Next time I come in AFTER i was told to come in at 5:30 to have it done and someone had laid $800 down and they couldn't do mine....still okay, last week I go in and talk to Paul about having him finish up my tattoo like I want it, says he can't but make an appointment for next week and he will fix it if that's still what I want to do because he thinks it looks okay...and that's fine, but who's body is this? The person who paid $150 to have it done, so I call today because this is the day my "appointment" was set for, I called to let him know I was coming in and he was like, well I am working on a tattoo I said okay, well my appointment is at 5:30, he said i'm on a tattoo and I will get to yours when I am done.....APPOINTMENT does anyone know what that is? THEN HE IS A COMPLETE ASSHOLE because HE DOESN'T WANT TO FIX IT!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I LET KELLY'S TATTOO TOUCH ME!! ESPECIALLY PAUL!!!
