So based just on location and no real recommendation, we decided to give it a try. Wow!! The customer service is top notch! They took good care of us, and sat us immediately. Yes... yes I know... Instill get looks when ladies see me sitting down getting a back massage in the chairs and a mean pedicure, but screw it, I say! It's actually more and more common these days, as it's great bonding time with my Queen AND I get my feet to looking and feeling better. Anyway, the place offers a type of calm and serenity, even with a stocked mini bar, which we took advantage of. The pedicure came with a bit of a foot and leg massage and man... that was the best part!! Felt amazing. I do think my gal went a little clip happy on my nails, but you know what? They should and would know what's best for my toenails and I just went with it. Long story short, we enjoyed our down time with a drink, conversations, chair massages, and excellent service. During my pedicure, a tube inside the bowl became extremely hot and burned the bottom of my foot. I mentioned it twice, but it wasn't removed. I now have a painful blister. My daughter's feet were also burned from water that was far too hot and left her sore afterward. We were never offered a drink while other customers were, and the manager/owner rolled his eyes when we checked in. Due to the lack of care, safety, and professionalism, I will not be returning despite being a customer for over a year.

Nirvana Here we are now, entertain us, I feel stupid and.... Wait…read more Oops.... Wrong Nirvana. This is my wife's second time here, my first time ever setting foot inside a Nirvana. I have to say I was pretty impressed with the layout and absolute cleanliness of the facility. We came here, primarily for my mom and my father in law. They're both up in age, one has Sugar Diabetes and the other has some health issues. Needless to say, we are relying on the experts to make sure they're trimmed and proper, and while we're at it, may as well get some pedicures ourselves. As Spock would say with a raised eyebrow, "Sounds logical." The pampering was on point. Foot soak, massage chairs, free beverages, and TV's for your viewing pleasure. I ordered the whole package, with trim, scrub, lotions, and wax, a little leg massage and finished with a hot towel. All very comforting stuff. As much as they tried, I denied any color finishing on my nails. With that all said, it was a good experience... and my only main complaint is (reason for 3 star rating)... WOW!! This ain't cheap. Not even close. Maybe I'm the cheap one, but after pedicures for two plus tip.... $200. $180 without the tip. I don't know about you, but I can think of other ways to spend that kind of money instead of a spa treatment... but... and this is the inner Sir Mix A Lot coming out... a BIG BUT ()... that it was definitely a treat. Sorry, don't have any pics to contribute, but will finish with this... great location, staff, facility, service... just overpriced in my book. The nail tech didn't seem to know what she was doing but it didn't turn out bad. However, I told Frankie who did my pedicure that I wanted the $35 pedicure. I even showed him the picture on the brochure. I am a retired sr and have to account for all of my extras. So it was a SHOCK when they told me my pedicure was $55!! I guess he used a gel but no he did not tell me or ask me about it. I was so upset. Even the dip was $50 instead of $45. It seems like this place just tries to steal money from their customers. Prior to my appointment I received a text from Katy saying she was going to be 20 minutes late. I reluctantly agreed, knowing it would push my own commitments back. I arrived at the salon on time, for my original appointment time. Katy stated she would be with me in a "few minutes". 25 minutes later, I asked how much longer it was going to be. She stated 5 or so more minutes. Finally, she was done with her previous appointment who had arrived late, which was the reason my appointment was pushed back. This salon has a strict on-time policy for clients; If you are late, late cancel, or no show, they cancel your appointment and charge you half the fee. When I stated that respect goes both ways, and asked Katy why the same on time policy did not apply to service providers, she became defensive. She stated she had let me know she was running late, and asked if she should have cancelled my appointment. I replied that she should have applied their stated policy to her previous customer who was late. Katy completely disagreed with this, and then said my appointment was cancelled. I stated that I completely agreed, and left the salon. I will not return, and definitely do not recommend anyone else patronize The Pink Rose Non-toxic Nail Salon in Bullard, Texas, either.
