Eric did not rototill the yard and simply laid the sod over the existing lawn. When I called him to come back to the job and address the work Eric said he would come by the next day and guaranteed his work. He was a no show/no call. Now Eric doesn't answer his phone or return texts, voice mails or emails. Stay way from Eric Williams and Dogwood Design. It is a very dishonest business.

I'm a senior citizen. We'll see if it works. Update: Jose, came to my house. Said he'd give my letter to his boss. Meanwhile he offered to clean up any debris that they may have caused. He came out for an initial quote and we decided to hire him on the condition we would mow the grass. We had already paid the deposit on the job. He never gave us an exact start date after we called him to let him know we mowed the lawn because he kept mentioning he was "squeezing us in the busy season." When the time came to drop off the soil I asked the truck driver to not drive on my neighbors lawn. He did it anyways and messed up their grass. The pile of loam was sitting there for a few days before he decided to show up. He kept mentioning he had bigger jobs to worry about. Once he did come to level out the loam he did a horrible job and tore up grass, and the sides were uneven. There were large clumps of soil and the flat area was not completely flat.. To this day there are patches of missing grass around the perimiter. After he left, I called him to let him know I was unhappy with the job after taking a more careful look at it. I explain the situation and he said "what do you want me to do about it?" He said I should go to the nearest Home Depot and grab a shovel and grass seeds and fix it myself. He was rude and condescending throughout the entire call saying that he gave me $100 off the job and I should use that to buy a rake and grass seeds to finish the job on my own. He kept saying I should be grateful he squeezed us in in front of more expensive contracts he was working on. I went to buy the rake and grass seeds and by that time the loam was too hard to work with and couldn't do anything. I called him back and let him know I bought materials for the job he should have completed but he was hard to reach. When I sent him a text message after not responding to my voicemails he kept saying he didn't have time to read my texts and was too busy and he responded when it was convenient for him. He came back to complete the job and smooth out the loam and add sand but the process was completely frustrating working with an unprofessional, and ignorant person. From the date the soil was dropped off to the date the work was completed took weeks. I do not recommend.

Folks from White Horse Lawn & Tree came out and were both highly responsive, extremely helpful, and awfully nice. They offered multiple applications of fungicide, at a very reasonable price.
