For wine selection I'd give them a 4.5 - it is quite the selection. But for service, I don't know,…read moremaybe a 2....it's always given off this not so friendly vibe. I don't shop here too often because it's out of the way and I've been happy with the selection at other independent wine stores closer to me. In every wine store and LC I've walked into, there has always been an acknowledgment of me as a customer and there's almost always the question of "can I help you with anything?" It never happens here. I'm younger than the "regulars" here but I'm also here to spend and buy some nice wine so it'd be nice if the staff were more courteous. Though I have to admit that the staff are very knowledgeable once they talk to you. But that usually occurs when I am with my boyfriend - not sure why that makes a difference or when you go up and ask for assistance. They have some interesting wine events where they partner up with some restaurants in the city to do some wine pairing/tasting nights. I've attended an event and found that it was interesting though not as informative as previous wine events I've attended (at another establishment). But it was an interesting night out nonetheless though it can be pricey. Depending on the event, it can cost between $35-$90 per person.

The layout is okay, but for whatever reason I've never found this place to be that easy to maneuver and easily browse. I've had staff help me with some suggestions and their picks have been successful half the time with the other half being selections I hated. Maybe just bad luck but service wide, I've found other private wine stores to be a bit more knowledgeable and usually staff picks have been much more successful. It's a good place if you know what you want and are just there to pick up a wine and go.
