This was my first round of golf in Denver. I had not shipped my clubs yet, and was a bit apprehensive about renting. Needless to say that was wasted time spent worrying. I played 9 holes with a cart, club rental, and pre-round range bucket for around $36 (I am still convinced they forgot to charge me for one of the above things). The rental clubs were good, and they even went in the back to find me another iron that I requested be part of my set. Take some of those extra balls out of your bag, replace them with a few beers in a bag of ice and have a good time. read more

This review is for the par 3 course only. I haven't played the regulation course and it's been many years since I've played the mini golf. This week I played the par 3 course with a small group. The course itself was good, with plenty of challenging holes, although I have played many par 3 courses around the metro area that are more interesting and engaging. The main problem I had with this place was the absolutely enormous amount of goose droppings. They are literally everywhere. There are so many geese that obviously live on this course, that you can't walk, step or roll your hand cart anywhere without getting everything covered in goose manure. For some folks, this may not pose a problem or be an issue. But for me it massively detracted from my golfing experience and I for one don't enjoy having to play in voluminous amounts of poop. At the end of the round my options were to find a stick to scrape the wheels of my hand cart clean before putting it back in my trunk, or just toss it in covered in fresh, not dried, goose droppings. I chose the first option. The same went for my shoes. Luckily there was a lot of gravel and sand in the parking lot which enabled me to grind and scrape my shoes clean before stepping back into my car. There is so much goose manure everywhere that even my golf ball was soiled pretty much constantly. I am definitely a wildlife lover, and the geese are very beautiful, but Kennedy's par 3 is absolutely and completely covered in goose poop. When we got to the 4th hole, there were literally around 100 geese just sitting on the fairway. Again, I have nothing but love for wildlife, but I play golf at plenty of courses all over the metro area and while some of them have the occasional pile of goose poop, none of the ones I've played this year are anything at all like Kennedy. It really seems that the geese actually live full time at this course. It is considerably worse than any public park I've ever been to in terms of how much actual goose manure is on the ground. As in, a fresh pile every two or three feet in any direction. I'm not really sure what the management at this course would have to do to discourage the geese from living there, and again, perhaps most people don't care. As for myself, I will continue to choose from a host of other courses that are indeed a pleasure to play around town where I can relax and enjoy myself - and the only thing I have to clean off of my hand cart wheels and my shoes before returning to my car is grass or some occasional mud or leaves. This par 3 at Kennedy would actually be a lot of fun if it weren't for the experience of having every thing that touches the ground completely soiled in fresh goose droppings. The name should be changed from Kennedy GC (golf course) to Kennedy GT (goose toilet). Thanks, but no thanks. read more

Moderately priced at $20 to walk 9 on a weekday for a muni course, Kennedy offers three 9-Hole options for a variety of skill levels. More experienced players should stick to the Babe/Creek nine. It features occasional water, some topographical changes, including a very entertaining elevated tee box on number 5 (par 3) that is perfect for closest to the pin competitions. By no means difficult, this course would be perfect for a practice round or a chill after-work golf hangout with your bros. Of note, Kennedy DOES have a driving range (far left side of the facility), which is convenient. Like many other courses during Covid, there is no water or cart girls on the course so either pick up or bring your own supplies ahead of time. While Kennedy is not quite as nice as some of the other Denver public course (think: Willis Case or Overland), it is regularly available to book after-work tee times even within a week, which makes it a go-to for those without a premium Denver golf membership. read more

One of my favorite Par 3 courses in the metro area. If you want to get in a few quick holes and have time for a cold one or a bite to eat, Kennedy is a good bet. As with so many courses in the metro area, though, just be smart and avoid the weekends. I mean, that's when everyone has the time off to play. You're better off to book a tee time early am or after work on a weekday so that you don't have the crowds. Nice location with 27 holes. Much better than the other course right down the road. Yeah u know... Affordable but there are hardly ever rangers regulating groups and pace of play. Well kept if you play early... Later on lots of ball marks and sloppy bunkers. Clearly a great grounds crew, but it's a public course with novice golfers. I would also recommend getting an early tee time a week in advance. This place is packed on the weekend. read more

This is the closest golf course to my residence so I may go back. However, this past Sunday I invited friend's for round here. I paid for the group of 4. 2 people in the group were still on the way. The clerk said to have them go in and check in when they arrived. When they went in they were forced to each pay for the round that I had already paid for. They told the clerk that I had already paid but the clerk said I hadn't and I had only reserved the round on my card. This is obviously not true as I have the signed charged receipt. The clerk had to have been able to see this in the system. It isn't the amount of money that was stolen that bothers me, it is the integrity and deceitfulness of it. They obviously could see I had paid and stole money from the group anyway. read more

Played on a Sunday = 5 hours 25 minutes Played on a Tuesday = 5 hours 5 minutes Its a good course, staff are really friendly, the only thing I would suggest for anyone playing JFK, allocate a LOT of time and patience. Only suggestion for the course, even if its a week day, people need to be kept to a sensible time for completing the course. I think I saw the time shed on the cart stating 4 hours 30 minutes as the time to get round which is still huge for a walkable muni so standing 20 minutes on several tee boxes is a little off putting for a lots of players, especially when groups behind these people waiting are having balls hit straight at them to get moving. Doesn't make me jump at the idea of returning, which is a shame with all the positives! read more

Don't let the 2-star review fool you, I am a fan of Kennedy Golf Course and have played there for many years. Unfortunately, the last round was not as enjoyable as others. The course itself was good, as always, but the pro-shop & starters may have been having a bad day. The line was long and slow to check in for our round, and when we got to the starter, he informed us we would need to go back in line and pay for 18 because the cashier only charged me for 9. In order to not miss our tee time, we pleaded with the starter to let us pay at the turn or after the round, in which he finally agreed. It really felt like they didn't mind or care that their mistakes would prevent us from playing. The course is a Denver gem, but some of the employees really had a bad day. read more

For a municipal city course, this place is great! I called ahead to book a tee time and the staff was friendly and helpful. They have a proton with apparel, shoes, and equipment for sale, and a restaurant that serves food and liquor. They have carts, or allow walkers. I payed their par-3 course which had 9 holes, most of which are 125-150 yards. The par-3 course is sandwiched in-between their normal courses. I went on a Saturday in February (yesterday, when it was 75 degree outside). It was busy, but we had no trouble making a tee-time that morning, there were plenty of parking spaces, and there wasn't a group too far ahead of or behind us. The course is open year round, though during the winter months they don't have tee makers in the tee boxes, and there are two holes to choose from on most every green. The par-3 course cost $11 for adults in the off-season and for that price, it's definitely worth going to! read more

Best city course Denver has to offer. 27 holes and a par 3 course. People have said bad course maintenance?!? Are you crazy?? This place is in great shape. Super green, well cut, and solid greens for a city course. You paid $26 bucks to pay it dude. You can't even see a movie for that price anymore. The only down side to this course is that the old guys club take it over in the early am. They tend to line up putts for days like they are a pro seeking a top finish. All and all, great course for the cash. Easy to walk on and many options of how to play it. I'm a member at another local course and I still come here often to change it up. Has a total of 3 courses. We played 9 holes of straight aways. It was fun and affordable. About $24 with cart! I would recommend to play the course that runs along the creek. Its the most scenic. read more

JKF is a great public course, they take really good care of it. Around $50 to ride and play 18 on the weekends but worth it. Challenging course but not too hard. I am in town for the week and would like to get out on the course only to be told they cannot book me at all because all the tee times are open... I understand save it for a 4some. However, having no options and just blowing me off, they should figure something out about how to schedule folks. Well I have played a total of 5 golf courses in Colorado and Kennedy is the best for the money. It cost me 26.50 for there 9 hole Babelin course with a cart. I don't know why someone would say it is not well maintained, but I thought it was very professional. Always working on the course, punching the greens, and more. They are not overly packed at all which allows me to get a tee time almost always a couple hours ahead of time. Will be back. read more

I played a round of 18 here and it was quite enjoyable. The greens were pretty nice and the fairways and tees were well kept. The grass was nice in all areas (rough, fairway, greens). I will say that it is easy to lose your ball in the grass because they tend to keep the grass longer than I'm used to. It was quite inexpensive compared to other courses so I'm quite happy with the course. read more

Kennedy Golf Course is one of the many public courses in the Denver area to experience. I selected Kennedy GC solely on its proximity to my hotel and the number of Yelpers who took the time to rate the course. Kennedy Golf Course has 3 nine hole courses named Babe Lind, Creek and West. Based on my understanding you are allowed to combine any 2 of the 3 to make your 18. There was golf league play the day I played so my only real option was to play the Creek. The Creek is the shorter of the three but probably have two of the more challenging holes. The course is in great condition. Honestly, the only complaints would be overall layout of the holes and that is because this was the first time I played the course. Also, the location and size of some of the sprinkler heads. No excuses here on the first hole my ball found a plate size sprinkler five feet of the green, middle of the fairway, directly in line with the flag/hole. Perfect shot diverted by a giant sprinkler head! I also found the pro shop customer service to be questionable at best! Hole 6 has a significant dogleg left with bunkers at the turn that only come into play if you are driving around 300 yards from the Blues. No worries there for me. I would have to say holes 9 is the only real challenge but could be overcome if you play short off the tee but be prepared for a long uphill second if you want to be on in regulation. The greens are well maintained and roll as true as almost any greens I've played on recently. I found the greens to be deceivingly touch but that may be a result of my inexperience on the course. For the price, convenience and the course itself, I would recommend giving Kennedy Golf Course a try. I plan to play it again before I leave Denver simply to get redemption on the greens and holes 6, 8 and 9! Also, to give Babe Lind or West a try to get a full 18 holes. read more

Kennedy is your basic muni course. When I played it it was green and in good shape. Probably it's biggest drawback is the clubhouse which is not up to par with the other Denver city golf course. One of the best things about Kennedy is the number of holes and the par 3 course. They also have a mini golf course which is in very bad shape. read more

Decent golf course and a good price for the value, but the starter on West 9 was a complete jerk and the ranger kept trying to put our 3-some with a 2-some either he could not count or he thought 5-somes were appropriate. Either way it was complete amateur hour among the staff, completely ruin the experience. read more

OK so my time away from the game has been a bit longer than Tiger's at the moment and today it showed as I elected to play on the Par 3 course. I figure it to be the first of many practice rounds before tackling a full 18. The Kennedy staff is both friendly and helpful and they carry a nice selection of items inside the pro shop. There is a miniature golf area for those who aren't into playing the game in full swing, no pun intended. The driving range is fair as ranges go, nothing anymore special about this one as compared to most others I've played on. The Par 3 course is just challenging enough for those just learning the game or those like myself who have been away from the game. A few rounds on the par 3 and I'm sure you'd be able to play it with your eyes closed. I give Kennedy 4 stars right now only because I've havent played a full round there. read more

I had a great time here last week. The greens were in great shape and it was a fun and decently challenging course. The only problem was it was way to wet. Also the computers were down so my buddy had to pay cash and I had to wait awhile to pay card. Other than that, it was a great course and recommend it to everyone! read more

This is a pretty standard city course. The prices seem pretty high for playing on a bunch of dead grass and dirt. The pace is slow due to the lack of marshals and the range has all artificial mats. It's really sad that this is becoming common for Denver city golf courses. read more

I've hit range balls here a couple times with a buddy. You get a fair amount for what you pay. The range is wide, and its well kept. I really hate driving out on to a range that isn't course-like. The wind can be a problem, or at least it was the first time we stopped in. The club house feels a little old, and could really use a strong modernization. Nothing to complain about here, its a good 4/5 golf course. I'm eager to play a round or two here in the future. read more

I went for the mini-golf, and I won't go back. If it's the spring or summer, it's okay, the foliage makes it easy to overlook the badly neglected furnishings and structures. However, in the fall, they do not rake or sweep at all, making it difficult to enjoy the course. The bare trees show just how worn down some of the little buildings have become. The course itself is really basic, and doesn't offer much for the mini golf enthusiast. read more

I'm not too familiar with golf pricing because I was forced into golf by the family and bf so I don't have to pay :) But $15 bucks for a large bucket of balls seem just OUTRAGEOUS. Especially how the driving range is set up, there's a giant wind tunnel. Not cool especially for a girl w. crazy allergies. (i apologize to all the golfers who have or will have the mat next to me. My sniffling is out of control but I can't take Claratin or any other allergy medicines.) Also, the course is moderately price more than what I've seen but the bf says it's because they have three large courses to maintain but I'm frugal and no one is going to talk me out of my ways. The is only for the miniature golf courses. It is a great price $7.00 for 3 mini courses and not crowded, my husband and I passed this many times and we were not sure it was even still opened. It was fun to feel like it was something out of our past, but it was sooo run down. Everything was falling apart , the ponds were empty and trees were overgrown on the courses. It needs to be torn down, the club house was nothing to write home about. And I think the restaurant was closed permanently, I am not sure. The city needs to redo all of this and it will be great. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, especially the rabbits running around the mini course. read more

I play 18 holes here regularly. Great course, one of the better local muni's. The front, Babe Lind, is straightforward but long. The second nine is very different, shorter with more shot-making required. The greens are typically in great shape, fast but receiving. Challenging enough, but not too intimidating for newer players. If I had a complaint it would be that the Marshals don't enforce pace of play. Friendly staff, good food in the clubhouse, and the range was also recently updated. I recommend this golf course. read more

Honestly, I'm surprised the reviews are this positive. The road noise from Hampton and I-225 are very annoying, and lots of the holes here are very repetitive and boring. Then again though, there are some that are challenging and really make you think. Course is in OK shape. Not the worst I've seen, but there are others that are much better. The Par 3 course is great if you need a quick yet not-too-easy golf game. Decently attractive course and good service. Saw a coyote on my last trip here, always feel its an added bonus seeing wildlife on the course. (But I am also a big animal lover too!) Price is very reasonable and easy to walk the course. read more
