I found this company online and enrolled in a webinar to find out more about their services. I missed the original webinar due to Covid. They kept after me saying we noticed you missed the webinar and there is a recording but it's only good until tomorrow night. I did manage to watch it before the expiration and Mark Kennedy presented a compelling conversation about needing to not just save but to make sure your money wouldn't run out no matter how long you live after retirement. They empasized that the stock market was not a good place to have your money due to the ups and downs of the economy. So I signed up for an informational call and they were adamant to put the phone numberin your phone so you wouldn't miss the call to confirm the appointment. I did this and when I received the call, the caller was super rude and dismissive. He first asked if I had time to talk and I said that it was not a good time but that I had the appointment on my calendar. He proceeded to question me about how much $$ I had to invest and where that was invested. I told him I was in a public place and this was not a good time to talk. But when I told him that I was already managing some of my own retirement savings through a self directed IRA that is invested in sydicated Real Estate and that I had other parts of it in the stock market and asked him what kindn of investments they would recommend he said annuities and long term care insurance (which I do already have) it became clear that this firm is trying to sell us their own insurance products that will only benefit them, not us as investors. The very rude person on the phone also said I don't have enough investments for them to bother with although I had more than the required amount they originally stated. The guy was supor rude and said he was cancelling my appointment and hung up on me without so much as a goodby. I say good riddance to these hacks who are trying to prey on unsuspecting investors. No thanks. I'll keep my money where it is rather than give it to these crooks. read more

I listened to a webcast and then had a one on one call and was disappointed. I do not like his grilling and scare tactics approach, nor did he answer my specific questions. I am looking for a more collaborative, long-term investment partner. He is focused on selling annuities. read more

We met Mark via a solicitation and the free dinner. We supplied him with financial statements upon which me made his analysis and review. Mark recommended annuities for our situation, stating that annuities came with "no cost" compared to our existing mutual fund asset allocation with a financial advisor charging about 1% of assets under management. (Since fired.) The issue was that we have substantial pensions that cover our living expenses and did not need a stream of income. Annuities are an insurance product. Annuities have significant costs...the agent gets a 5% up front fee for the sale, there are surrender fees should we want to take our money out of the annuity, and expenses within the annuity of 2% plus per year. Annuities are sold as "no cost" to the customer, but there is no such thing as no cost. Money is tied up for years with limited upside to the investment. I did way better by getting rid of all financial advisors and following a simple 60-40 portfolio of low cost index funds from Vanguard or Fidelity. read more

I signed up for a seminar with my twin sons. I was told that they didn't qualify so I told Sean on the phone to take me off their call list. Unfortunately, that sent him into a terror. He not only continues to send me email messages, he also calls back after I send him an email to stop. Today, he even harassed me and threatened me! If there was a chance that I would do business with this company, that issue is now mute! Their ways of conducting business are horrific! I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone! After briefly meeting this guy at a free dinner seminar one day I agreed to talk to him on the phone the next day. Following a chitchat, he asked me how much my husband and I had saved up for our retirement. I told him approximately how much we had saved up, which wasn't much. I couldn't believe what he did after that. He scoffed at me and said, "I can't help you with that! You guys need to get better educations or career!" What a jackass. My husband has Masters Degree!! I wanted to say that, however, I held my tongue and patiently asked him how much he would recommend for us to save a month. "$10,000," the guy says. I immediately told him thanks but no thanks then hang up the phone. Thanks, Mr. Kennedy. Now we know who we should not go to for our investment in the future. read more

What a fraud! You think you have accepted an invite and have a confirmation, yet when you arrive, alas your name is not on the list. Then the representative comes out and says, "we have just one more table left, but I have to ask you a few questions...Do you have more than $500,00 in assets?" My wife and I are both retired as of last year. We waited until we were in our early 70s to build a big nest egg. Our dear friends who are also our neighbors are clients of Mark Kennedy's. They told us how wonderful he is and educational and has amazing events for his clients. While I know this is covid times and the firm can't do business as usual, the few webinars we attended were not as up to par as we would imagine from all the feedback we'd heard. My granddaughter just introduced me to this Yelp thing, so I thought I would try it. Sadly, we felt Mark came across as abrasive and like a know it all while he didn't give bullet points on why he could help, but more so just seemed conceited and like he would take advantage of people. Great company. Even though a client for almost 10 years, Mark and his staff are always active with my account. When notified that LTC situation had changed for me they were able to research a viable replacement product. Impossible to get off of their mailing lists despite multiple requests, and I have never attended one of their seminars or called for appt. Office rep was a little snippy & tried to pass it off as the doing of their bulk mail service, with no appearance of any degree of company accountability for the expectations of the bulk mail company. She did offer to pass my specific info on to the bulk mail company but that will not address the bigger issue of not respecting recipient preferences to stop unwanted mailings. read more

My wife and I signed up for this retirement seminar being held at Mastro's Restaurant in Thousand Oaks (see their review concerning this matter as well). We showed up only to be told by this scrawny unprofessional imbecile (think his name was Shawn) that we were not on the list and that he had tried to call us. He never called us. If they messed up the list and were nice and apologetic that would have been one thing... mistakes happen. But to be rude and dismissive is unacceptable. Maybe they didn't think we had enough money for them. This company will never find out. read more

Do not go to any of their seminars. Even though you register and got a confirmation email they cannot find your name on the list. They ask you to talk to the event coordinator. They push you to the side and ask you to step aside after you have waited over 15 min for the event coordinator to show up. Wow what an unprofessional organization. I responded last week that my wife and I were interested in the upcoming seminar especially in light of the recent turmoil in the stock market. Just received a call back saying this seminar is for first time attendess (we may have attended one of these back in early 2017). So I politely asked the person then to remove me from their mailing list. Said he couldn't do that and then became very confrontational over the phone. If this is the way they treat their propsective clients, can only imagine how you get treated once they have your money in their hands. read more
