When Kennedy's first opened I thought it sounded like a pretty cool concept, so shortly after they opened I stopped in for a haircut. I was pretty amazed how they transformed a brand new building into a shop that looked like it had been around for decades. However, my experience was far from great. The woman who cut my hair did a terrible job, so bad that I went elsewhere to get it fixed. After learning the price of the membership fee, I concluded that this concept was not for me. I wish I could give this place ZERO STARS. My husband called yesterday for an appointment with Gina. She wasn't working yesterday so they gave him the first appointment today, 10am. He just returned home (10:43am) because NO ONE IS THERE. He sat in the parking lot for 45 minutes. No one is there to open the building, no Gina, and no one answering the phone. Frankly, he had to wait 45 minutes in the past as well but liked Gina's work. This business a train wreck - the other Kennedy's at least have online scheduling. This one requires the hairdressers to book you, cut you, check you out, everything. I highly recommend you find another barber and DO NOT step foot in this awful place. read more

What a disappointment! I love cigars and what can be better that combine it with a good haircut and shave. Well, they forgot about my first in the morning appointment and I showed up before the staff, they were completely disorganized and their "Professor Eddy" talks too much and shaved my GT slanted. Kennedy's is like a spa day for guys. Haircuts are always great and they pay excellent attention to details (sometimes going through a lot of effort to make sure everything is perfect). It turns a haircut into a very enjoyable and rejuvenating experience. Highly recommended if you are willing and able to pay. read more

I love this place. My haircut is high maintenance...Shaved head and a trimmed beard a constant effort. They do this for me. Top that with an hour without my cell phone. It is the perfect experience. read more

Never even got my son in. Made appointment for 4:15 wasn't even greeted at door, was asked my appointment time, then told the 4pm appointment was first and it was alreasy 4:15. She gave me a look as if too bad lady you and you're kid can deal with it, not even I'm sorry wer're running late. What is the point of making an appointment for your kid and rushing him from school to the place if they don't even keep appointment times? I've been going to Kennedy's for a couple of years now. It is the best! The folks are always kind and courteous. My son loves it there, too. The lounge is very comfortable, and the free wifi makes it an easy place to get things done. I've used their conference room one time when I was in town and needed to make a quick business call right away in a private location. It worked out great! What was I thinking, 65 bucks for a haircut and a 9 second shoulder rub and a shampoo and hot towel. Total time 12 minutes. Not an experienced but a night mare. Why""" you say""" I asked to use the men's room. At that point I should have just walked out the door. It was a mess, it had shit on the toilet seat and tank itself. The sink was a nightmare. The mirror and the floors a mess. The entire bathroom has not been cleaned in days if not weeks. My seat was comfortable and my hair cutting person was very nice. But I am heading to a place to grab a new haircut if your a clean freak I would definitely recommend you not sit in those chairs and look at the three dirty dusty stations. I have an idea.. windex.. they don't even have a water cooler or bottled water. I have an Idea,, little glass fridge please. I've been going for several months now and find it convenient and friendly with good service. I don't always get a great cut but I find myself getting my hair cut every couple of weeks to keep it clean and the neck shaved etc. this makes the monthly fee worthwhile. read more

The ambience is quite pleasant, I'll give them that. It's a beautiful shop with a great look that combines "traditional barber" with a modern elegance. Unfortunately, the actual service is a mess. I've been there twice, both times to have my head shaved. The first time was a nice shave, but the barber nicked my scalp and made no effort to clean up the bleeding, which I noticed when I got back to the car. When I went back to ask for a paper towel or something to clean up with, they were dismissive and made no effort to apologize for cutting me. I know nicks happen when shaving, but a "sorry we made you bleed" would have been welcome. I went a second time a few months later, and the barber attempted to persuade me that the safety razor she was using was, in fact, a straight razor. The resulting shave was OK, but not particularly close, and at $55 ludicrously overpriced. On the whole, I think Kennedy's is more concerned with projecting an image and atmosphere than it is in providing quality service at an appropriate price, and I would not recommend them to anybody. read more

Excellent service. I made the switch to Kennedys Ridgefield a year ago and never looked back. The staff is friendly, accommodating and by the way...you get a good cut. Highly recommended. read more

Current member and I have a lot of trouble getting anyone to pick up the phone to schedule an appointment.

I'd never experienced a straight-edge barber shave before so my wife got me a gift card to Kennedy's. Perhaps I caught them on an off day - there were several small annoyances that I'd otherwise overlook, if not for the fact that my shave was very poorly done. The lady who cut my hair was very nice and took her time on my cut, although I've gotten just as good a cut from my $18 guy down the street. She explained that she was not yet trained on the straight edge so someone else would be handling my shave (I did appreciate that!) She also said for that reason she couldn't shave the back of my neck, although I assumed she'd done it with an electric razor or something but found out later it wasn't done at all. The lady who did my shave also took her time and overall it was a nice experience, but she missed big patches of whiskers on my cheeks and under my sideburns, as well as under my bottom lip. She had a warm cloth over my eyes that covered the top half of my face which is where most of the whiskers were missed, but she did lift it a few times to shave under it so I assumed she got it all. She used a machine that kept warm mist on my face, but it would periodically throw off drops of super hot water on to my neck, which kind of ruined the "relaxation" of the experience. In addition both ladies were about 7 minutes late opening the store (I had the first appointment, 10am Sunday) and when I first came in they asked if I wanted anything to drink and I asked for an ice water, which never came. When I got out to my car I also noticed I had clumps of wet cut hair stuck to my ears. Again, if the shave and haircut had been perfect I wouldn't have cared about the tardiness or overlooking the drink, etc, but the shave especially was a big disappointment and at these prices you'd expect a nearly flawless experience all the way around. read more

Disappointing and way over priced. Been to other Kennedy shops in the past and received good service and a clean cut. The barber was not friendly and the quality of her cut was poor. My sideburns were uneven, as was the taper. Disappointing for a 70$ haircut. read more

First experience was great had a beautiful friendly girl give me the best cut I ever had. Upon my second visit it was a REALLY bad experience. When I walked in for my appointment the staff was yelling at each other. I got a rushed and angry haircut. Don't waste your money. Better off at the barbershop at the Mall. read more
