I have a 1954 Kimball upright, which was purchased from a person who had kept it as an heirloom but never learned how to play (and consequently, didn't tune it for decades). I forgot to pull out cash, and the tuners can't accept Venmo or other credit card payments, but luckily, I was able to pay with a check. At the end of the appointment, the tuner scheduled me for a 6 month follow up reminder through Google Meet. Overall, really satisfied, and the amount I paid was less than I was originally quoted (about midway between the low and high end quote, since he had to do more than one pass of tuning).

On our first visit, we got seats in the first or second row on the floor level. However, we were sort of staring up at the conductor and the first row of musicians and could not see further back. We attended a rehearsal of the orchestra and sat further back (again, floor level). This afforded a better view, at least. Recently, we opted for the balcony. The ticket seating chart did not make clear that there were actually 2 balconies! The first row of the upper balcony did not offer a great view (again) due to the railing. It may be better a couple of rows back. For our next visit we will try out the middle balcony. Acoustics were fine. Parking (for Saturday evenings) is free in a large deck directly across the street.

When I asked about getting a guitar fix. He was honest with me about the repair is going to cost more then buying a new guitar. Just as what I would expect out of a Master repairman he told me how I could fix it me self. He also warned me of the risks of breaking it more. It is the same risk if I had him do it for me. I have been in the store and watched him repair guitars. What I see is a master at what he does and at times if he is not to buzzy he will share about the repairs he is doing. Things to keep in mind. They love music and love teaching it. Also, they have the temperament of a musician. I have worked as a sound man and had to deal with quiet a few musicians in the past. On a scale from 0 to 10, 0 you do not want to work with them and 10 they are great and easy to work with. I would put them at 9. I say that because everyone has bad days. Penitence is the key here. Trust me there are much worst music shops around town. Over all these guys are great.
