If you want to shop for jewelry, personal care items, or crafts, this is your farmer's market. They also offer a lot of different cuisines, but weirdly, even the food that's usually vegetarian friendly was meat heavy. i was frustrated by my lack of choices, compared to my carnivore family's dining options. If you're looking for produce try another market. This was definitely underrepresented here. The location is lovely and there is plenty of parking, but I've experienced better markets for a farm to plate experience.

Dozens of vendors selling all kinds of stuff. No junk here, like sham-wows or Ginsu Knives, but not everything is local. There's also a bit of live music. Great lakeside outdoor venue. Perfect for a summer day.

I remember coming here pre covid and thinking it was huge. I've since been visiting more farmer's markets, and maybe my memory of this place is flawed... but it seemed a lot smaller and sparser than before. Parking was available in a grass/dirt lot across the street. It was very dusty. With every gust of wind, sand/dirt would be flying everywhere, so our car got dirty, and I got some grain in my eye. There were only 2 actual farmer stands, and the rest were vendors, though there seemed to be quite a variety. The vendors were well spaced out, but since there weren't all that many people there, it just made it seem sparse. The produce at both stations were actually very fresh, and I thought the cost was cheaper than at Oak Creek. Oh, and Serenity Soap sells pasture raised eggs and duck eggs. They ran out of duck eggs when I went (around 11am), but they said they would deliver during the week! (Meet in Oak Creek area) I plan on getting some duck eggs this way, since Kenosha is really out of the way for me and I only went on a whim. Thanks Judi!

This is a summer staple! I look forward to going in the warmer months and am always sad it's not quite as lovely in the winter. In the summer, it's a perfect day trip. There's vendors lined up for blocks along beautiful Lake Michigan. There's tons of produce, flowers, and local food. I was impressed by how many gluten free items I found as well.

This is one of my favorite summer markets and the ambiance near the lake and spacious area in a quaint location is bonus. Plenty of food options as well as hand made products

I knew Kenosha has a weekly market but had never been before. I have visited twice in the past month and love it! Wow! Located downtown near the museum, it stretches several blocks and spreads out at the south end. People were everywhere, parking was crazy and the energy level was super high. Vendors are diverse with flowers, produce, soaps & oils, jewelry, handmade items and even chair massages. Freshly cooked food like gourmet egg rolls, crepes, empanadas and coffee are sprinkled throughout. I met some wonderful small business owners. You can walk, eat and shop the entire time. The added bonus is the several live music options throughout market. What a fun weekly Saturday morning event. By the volume of people young and old, I would call Kenosha Harbor MarketPlace a must do for locals and visitors!

Major highlights: TASTING: My mom and I tasted several herbal teas, sweet buns, cheeses, organic salsas, apple butter, parmesan garlic crispy bread, kettle corn.. I'm sure there was more but it's EDUCATIONAL: After speaking with many of the friendly vendors I left much more knowledgeable about types of garlic, how paper beads are made, dying German glass, what happens to the market in the winter (it moves to a downtown theatre and only about 15 vendors can fit.) VARIETY PACK: There were many different artists with their work for sale. Many families selling fresh fruits, veggies, and herbs. A man playing acoustic guitar. Farm raised meats, jerky, and free range chicken. Coffee, teas, hot dogs, snacks, dog treats, herbs and spices, even egg rolls. We left with cilantro, Mexican bread, organic salsa, sticky bun, molasses cookies, and an ice coffee - I'd say a morning well spent. Next time I'm in town it won't be so warm, but I'm interested to check out the winter indoor version as well - I bet they'll have some great locally grown and crafted holiday treats.

Love this place! Kenosha HarborMarket is beyond a habit in our household. It is a ritual, and a place that we go to enjoy sunny, breezy harbor-side surroundings where we can buy top quality locally grown and produced (a requirement for vendor participation), fruit, vegetables, flowers, plants, baked goods, cheese and meats. It also is a place where one may purchase artisan-produced goods; hand crafted scarves, jewelry, soaps, lotions, candles, even fine, master-craftsman hewn wooden bowls, pet accessories, whimsical birdhouses, bird feeders and garden ornamentation to name just a few; all very reasonably priced, and in some cases, negotiable. HarborMarket also is a place where one may have something to eat, wander about and linger to listen to live musicians or take a few moments to visit with vendors to talk about their crops and products, about what they believe is of exceptional quality that day, what could stand to be better, and what you can expect over the upcoming weeks. Some vendors have sold at the HarborMarket for years, so they subsequently have developed a loyal customer following, and they care about the quality they offer to their loyal customers. This is not a flea market type farmer's market manned by transient vendors, who sell overstock items, cheaply made single use junk, and out-of-state produce that chain stores passed over a few days earlier. Product quality and vendor adherence to HarborMarket guidelines and quality standards are key here. We have farmer markets in communities closer to our home. They are very nice, very convenient, but truth be told, none appear to be as well regulated, nor feature the number of vendors, nor variety and quality as HarborMarket does. None of them have comparable surroundings on a public square next to a scenic harbor on Lake Michigan that features old-fashioned, circa 1940-1950 streetcars, brightly colored lighthouses, beautifully planted and manicured garden beds, a teeming cooling fountain, benches and picnic tables, also where, just a few feet away, one may visit Kenosha's Natural History or Civil War Museum. That combination, fellow Yelpsters, cannot be rivaled. Suggestion: Make an effort to visit your local cash station before hitting the HarborMarket, since some vendors may not accept plastic or personal checks for for items that cost, $1, $2, $3, under $10 or so dollars. Keep in mind that a term of vendor participation is that produce must be locally grown. So, if you note that tomatoes and sweet corn are not offered, know it is because it still is too early in the season for their harvest. As a result, the only produce that will be offered is at its height of freshness.

    Where should we park?

There is some street parking but I always park in the parking lot behind the museum. I would say that's the easiest place to get in and get out of. It gets really busy there. Just a fun tip, but if there is a booth selling corn on the cob buy it!!!… Read more

CITY SLICKER I have…read moredriven by here many times but i have never stopped. Recently I needed zucchini. We were having company over and I wanted to add grilled zucchini to the menu. When I stopped in I was amazed at the large selection of items they had. They also had a bunch of great looking zucchini. The normal price for them was $1.29 a pound but they were on special for 75 cents a pound. I grabbed 3 nice size ones and the total price was $1.83. Now that was a deal. I should have grabbed more. I was also able to meet the owner Chris. She was very friendly and helpful. She actually stopped in to drop off more zucchini. She was also there to see how the store was doing. We also started talking about cooking food and using fresh veggies. As she was talking to me she was looking through the peppers. She picked up two giant green peppers that were going bad and asked me if I could do something with them. I told her Yeah and she gave them to me. In fact, I took them home and roasted them on the fire pit. I also served them to our guests later that day and they loved them. In fact, the guests used them on there brats. I know roasted peppers are not a traditional topping but I must admit they tasted fantastic on the brats. Thanks Chris for giving me these and adding to our already delicious menu. This store is seasonal. I am not sure when they close down but I'm sure when it starts to get cold. I also learned that Chris is the daughter of the famous Jerry Smith who has the farm North of this location. So all of there fresh seasonal veggies come from there. Jerry Smith's farm has a great pumpkin patch for the kids to visit in October. If you haven't been there then I recommend you load up the Family and make a trip there. They also have a Corn Festival coming up in August too. Those events take place at the Jerry Smith Farm and not here. I also have a Yelp Review posted for that location. Okay back to Green Acres. The selection was huge. They had a variety of potatoes and onions, Roma tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, regular tomatoes, 4 foot tall Dill, corn, hot peppers, green peppers, pickles, watermelon and zucchini. Everything looked amazing. In addition to the fresh vegetables this location also carried flats of flowers too. I really wanted the palm tree for $330.00 It looks so cool plus I would always feel like I'm on vacation if I owned it. So if you are driving down the road and you see a little shack at the side of the road it's Green Acres. It is the place to be. It's like farm living which is the life for me. Yeah I may get allergic from the smell of hay. I do love the country but I also love my big city too. There are some song lyrics mixed in there above...enjoy!!! See Green Acres makes me want to break out in song. I'm happy that people seem to be getting healthier. Places like this are helping us move in the right direction. We need to learn how to make food again and not out of a box but from scratch. It is not only rewarding to do this but it tastes amazing. So I appreciate Green Acres and I can not wait to stop back.

I visited the location in the village of Mount Pleasant (near Racine, WI) to check out their 8-acre corn maze. The theme this year is the Loch Ness Monster, but I wouldn't let the theme influence you either way as it did not have a significant impact on the experience. The maze is divided up into different sections/quadrants that can easily be identified by different colored (blue, yellow, white, and green) strips running throughout the maze. The colors don't ruin the level of difficulty; they simply let you know that you are progressing into the next section and are really something of a safety measure. I moved at a relatively brisk pace and was unencumbered by small children. That said, it took me approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete, walking roughly three miles. I thought it was a neat experience, and it gave me a nice touch of nostalgia as I haven't done a corn maze since I was a kid. I recommend checking it out, but I think it would be challenging to do at night or with children requiring a stroller as the ground is obviously dirt and not even. *Also make sure to use the restroom prior to entering
