The crepe was really good! Yummy and a lot of options to choose from. I got the butter sugar and cinnamon crepe which was yummy. The only good service person was the waitress taking care of our receipts at the end of the meal - everyone else seemed a bit annoyed, but it was also extremely busy so it makes sense. Bustling restaurant, pretty small and cozy, indoor and outdoor seating too.
Yes, the service can be a bit cold here. But you have to understand, it is not only in the French Quarter of London, it is overflowing with tourists at most hours of the day. The seating is pretty cramped, and you won't have room for more than 2 plates on your table at a time. Negatives aside, the food here is amazing; they really do know their crêpes. And from someone who has had a lot of bad crêpes in her life, I know a good crêpe when I taste one. They offer both sweet and savory crêpes, as well as a few waffle options and some sides. The sweet crêpes looked amazingly decadent, but after having just one of the savory ones each, my friend and I couldn't swallow another bite. However, I will say that, whatever you're feeling, they will have you covered. Salted caramel, strawberry cheesecake, mixed berry and dark chocolate... pick your poison. On the savory side, they have quite a few options to suit your tastes; if not, you can always build your own. That option can get expensive, though, so keep your eye on those add-on prices. Being a sweets-lover myself, though still craving a bit of protein, I ordered the La Veggie crêpe with some turkey bacon added on. Everything blended perfectly, from the honey and the goat's cheese, to the arugula drizzled with balsamic vinegar and thick slices of turkey bacon for good measure. I could find nothing wrong with this dish, despite the obviously inflated tab due to the close proximity to two of the most famous museums in London. From the looks of the other pleased customers coming in and out of this place, and the sheer amount of people inside, I think it's safe to say that this cafe has a special spot in the hearts/ stomachs of both tourists and locals, alike, regardless of price and less-than-lukewarm service.
This place is in a great location on a stretch of Exhibition Road a couple of blocks south of the Victoria and Albert Museum. The food and coffee are both great and the outdoor seating is wonderful on a nice day. The prices are also reasonable. The table service is pretty good and the personnel are quite friendly and pleasant. However, our experience suggested the kitchen staff might be overwhelmed a little too easily when things get busy. We had just finished our tour of the Victoria and Albert Museum. It was about 3:30 and we had not had lunch. We saw from TripAdvisor that there were several restaurants two blocks away on a short stretch of Exhibition Road that was largely dominated by pedestrian traffic. There were a number of excellent choices but this place stood out with an attractive exterior and a tantalizing specialty for its cuisine. The outdoor seating area was packed as It was surprisingly busy for the time of day but we chalked this up to the fact that it was a Bank Holiday. We were fortunate in our timing as there was only one other party ahead of us waiting to be seated. That group was larger and wanted to sit inside. Hence, when an outside table became available, we were seated within a minute or two of our arrival. We observed that seating became more difficult during the course of our visit. Our server waited on us right away. She appeared to be one of the proprietors and was rather pleasant and very friendly. The staff were flying around frantically at times trying to take care of the numerous patrons. In all they were doing a pretty decent job in a challenging situation even if they seemed slightly disorganized at times. We placed our order and received our Sparkling Water very quickly followed by the crepe ordered by my colleague in a very reasonable amount of time. However, when they delivered the first crepe, I was told the crepe I ordered was coming. Unfortunately, after fifteen minutes or so it had still not arrived. At this time, our server came back and asked how we had enjoyed our food. I let her know I was still waiting on my crepe. She offered a sincere apology and a menacing scowl came across her face as she looked back toward the kitchen. She went back inside to have a word with someone and my crepe appeared about three or four minutes later. I appreciated the quick rectification but it was clear to me that things had reached a tipping point for them and the helter-skelter was getting the best of them. As far as the food was concerned, however, we could not have been happier with our selections once they were delivered. At the recommendation of our server, my colleague selected the La Belle Hélène, a sweet crepe featuring a pear, dark Belgian chocolate, almond flakes, vanilla ice cream and real whipped cream. She let me try it and it was absolutely luscious. I chose a savory crepe on the other hand deciding to try the Countryside, which was filled with chicken, onion, spinach, garlic, carrot and cheddar cheese. It was likewise excellent and was also quite filling. We finished with coffees which were done very nicely. The prices were not bad for what we received and considering it was centre city London. The total bill was £29.48, everything included. This was about $46 USD at the exchange rate at the time, or about $23 per person. In an expensive city like London, this sort of pricing was not unexpected. And we certainly got our money's worth considering the quality of the fare. Overall, while there were some hiccups in service due to the busyness at the time we were there, this place was a great find. The crepes and coffee both were excellent, the personnel were polite and pleasant and the atmosphere was lovely. The prices were not bad considering the location and the quality of the fare. If you like crepes and outdoor cafes, this is a great choice.
Kensington Creperie is a cafe located near the South Kensington tube entrance. I came here for breakfast. They sell crepes, breakfast food, and espresso drinks. Crepes were decent, nothing note worthy. It's a convenient breakfast place, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. The creperie has decent amount of seating. Service was friendly. Ordered Banana nutella crepe - was decent. Bigger than i expected.
You should eat here if it's convenient but certainly should NOT go out of your way to come here. The staff was fine and the creeps we're okay. I only stopped by here because it was close to the S. Kensington tube station. I will say that I did enjoy my Rooibos tea, as it was my first experience drinking it. I asked my waiter how this particular tea tasted and he just said its good and will go okay with your milk. Very uninformative. Rooibos is a tea leaf from Africa with a full body nutty taste and I enjoyed it quite much. I'll be honest and say that part of this review was taken from my personal boiler plate template and slightly modified to help provide a slightly meaningful review relevant to this specific restaurant. I do this not because I'm lazy but rather because I feel this restaurant was a safe, solid, and a middle of the road restaurant. I will walk away full but did not feel the food has left a lasting impression.
Excellent well known Creperie in the area and very close to South Kensington Tube Station as well as walking distance from Harrods or The Victoria and Albert Museum. What I love is that they use the absolute freshest ingredients and the Crepes have the perfect texture and taste. They have dessert and savory crepes. Tried and Tested = Very Good - You should try if you are in the area: Strawberry Creme Crepe: Fresh strawberries, cream, white Belgian Chocolate, Chantilly Cream. La Superbe Banane Quebec: Banana, walnuts, butter, cream, with Maple Syrup poured all over, and a splash of Cointreau. The Mancara Chicken Crepe with peanuts is a meaty meal :) Cozy ambience and friendly service. TIPS: Come early, this place gets busy very quickly and usually has long lines. Lovely little gem in a great location! Very busy for breakfast but sat immediately. Friendly, quick service and very efficient, especially for the amount of customers present. We only came for a quick bite but everything was delicious. And every plate we saw going to other tables not only looked amazing but ended up being devoured, just like ours! Would definitely recommend and return when in South Kensington. read more

This place is always packed to the rafters whenever I walk past so one day we thought we'd give it a try, but we were so disappointed. A good crepe should be delicate, light and melt-in-the-mouth, but at Café Crêperie they're huge, crispy, folded over monster pancakes, browning on the outside rather than a nice golden yellow. I was surprised at this as the chefs were French, the waitresses were French... so why weren't the crepe? The huge choice of fillings, both savory and sweet are tasty, I had Tortiflette, a traditional bacon, potato, raclette cheese, onion, white wine and cream filled one, but the whole crepe was far too heavy and none of us particularly enjoyed the result. The small selection of wines are OK, all are fairly inoffensive so they don't impede the already strong flavour of the crepe. I really didn't like the interior either, it's a cheap caff style, with throw away table clothes and a constant queue of people who they let loiter about in the door way waiting for a table, which is rather off putting as it's only a small restaurant and when I was there they were actually standing next to the tables. Plus because of the door constantly opening and closing there actually flies buzzing around! The music is from a radio at the back and if your sat further in it's so awful to be subjected to it blaring out. As the kitchen is a small counter in the dining area you come out smelling like an over done crepe yourself! The waitresses are also rude and it lacks any Parisian charm whatsoever. I can't understand why people rave about this place! For me, it's getting nuls points. read more

I can recommend the delicious and authentic crepes at this tiny little South Kensington cafe. The space is so small that you tend to bang tables with your neighbours. Service too, can be slightly chaotic on the busy days when queues can snake out the door. But thats a good sign too, right? Once you get in, try the real Breton cider - strong, rich, dark and delicously different to the sweet fizzy commercial and the flat dry Somerset versions. Among the crepes, there is a bewilderingly vast choice on the menu, as well as daily specials up on the boards. The one I usually end up going for is the Buckwheat Gallette with champignon (creamy mushrooms), cheese and ham. There are plenty of choices for vegetarians, but coeliacs, dairy-free and vegans might have more trouble. read more

For an indulgence under £10, I go to The Kensington Creperie. This small café is well-know in Kensington for their crapes that practically melt in your mouth! Once I tried the Italian crape, I was hooked! This delight contains mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, basil and a special Italian sauce. They also have wonderful sweet crapes too! For example, you can find specials like cream cheese and strawberry preserves, or just apple, cinnamon and raisin. All of the recipes read more

Kensington Creperie South Kensington, London Hmm.. where shall I start? Disappointing is an understatement. Terrible is an understatement. Worse crepe place in London is an understatement. So maybe an amalgamation of all the above?? The service was awful. We had to wait 45 minutes for crepes. They got mine wrong -simple instruction "no cheese"! The waitress literally threw the plate at me and walked off while I was still asking for cutlery. I had to physically carry the wrong crepe back to the counter as the lovely waitress kept on ignoring me. When the right crepe arrived, it tasted awful - dry crepe with very uninspired filling. I couldn't eat it! overall, do not go there. Awful, awful experience. read more

'This experience was the tale of two sides'. 'Dry and Moist'. Value for money - yes. Service with a smile - yes. Authentic Taste - absolutely. Would I eat here again - I hope so. My eyes were bigger than my stomach on entering the creperie and I should have known better not to order two plates of some of Kensington's finest but I dare say I couldn't resist. I ordered both the caramel banana crepes and chocolate Belgian waffles with a side scoop of snickers ice cream and ferrer rocher. To cut a tasty mouth explosion short the waffle was fantastic. Moist, chocolate melting muddy, fresh and fluffy and delicious to boot ... Oh both of the scoops of ice cream hit the mark as well. Yet .... On the flip the crepes not so much. Dry and disappointing to put it bluntly. I was eying of the freshness of the girls sitting next to me and wished I was in her shoes and not mine. For the sake of a bad crepe day I'm still honouring this establishment with 4 lucky stars. The service was fantastic, a lively busy environment and the price whilst I thought was a little adventurous was not enough to turn me off a re visit to this fab establishment. read more

Really good savoury crepes! They all look the same from the outside when they are served, but mmm the filling was different and delicious for both of the savoury crepes I have tried here. I think the beef ragu is my favourite as it's not a flavour I have found elsewhere and it is really yummy, but the Countryside with chicken,garlic and spinach and added potatoes was also great. The menu has a lot of great options and you can choose your own fillings which is great. I really love the iced coffee latte here as well. The KC hot chocolate is maybe too laced with cinnamon flavour for me, but it was nice. I definitely plan to come back sometime to try the dessert menu! read more

Crepes who does not like it .. Everyone likes crepe .. This cafe is really one of the best crepe in london .. I had try this shop several times .. The crepe in this shop is fresh an tasty they have many selection of crepes and waffles to .. Such as milk chocolate , dark chocolate , banana with chocolate , scopes of ice cream served with crepes or waffles .. When o want to this store they had cancel the white chocolate I felt sad ... Because it was my fav .. ,plus they have hot drinks latte , chocolate and expresso .. Staff are friendly & lovely .. Prices was reasonable read more
