The staff are really, really friendly and always manage to have your washing ready before you expect. It costs around a tenner to have a suit dry-cleaned, which is slightly cheaper than other launderette's in the vicinity, and it can be back the same day as long as it's handed in early enough. I live miles away and preferred to travel to Krisp + Kleen than use any of the other launderettes closer to home. We had no washing machine for the first couple of months in our new house, so I practically lived in the place. Well, I dropped stuff off for service washes every fortnight. They even know my name now! Prices for service washes vary depending on the size of your load, but I always had the feeling they made very little profit per bag and charged mainly for the washing and drying. You can have a shirt washed and pressed for just £1.99 which is well worth it if you have a decent shirt or if your shirts have suffered from bad treatment and try as you might you can't get rid of the tram lines you have pressed into them. They offer a same day service. Leather and Suade can also be cleaned here. Inside the shop is a huge Firbimatic machine which aparently uses hydrocarbon solvents. This is similar to standard dry cleaning but the petrolium solvents are slightly gentler on clothes although do produce VOC which are not great for the atmosphere.

The mature staff are very approachable and the prices are reasonable. I recently took a heavy coat to Creases for dry cleaning. The service was good and I had the coat back with me in a couple of days time. However, I was a little surprised and disappointed to find crumbs and debris still in the pockets; they clearly hadn't been cleaned and as the coat wasn't especially dirty or badly stained/marked this was one of the only required, and expected, duties. My dress was absolutely filthy and had so many layers and detail too it, I was worried the stains wouldn't come out. Amir was very friendly and advised me that some of the stains may be difficult to remove. I was confident he knew what he was talking about and he took the time to go through the cleaning process with me. He never once pushed any prices/extra things onto me. Within a week or so I got a call to say my dress was ready to collect at anytime. Amir again took the time to show me my dress, it looked as good as new. All stains had been removed and I was amazed by the great care he'd taken. Dry cleaning rates start at three pound fifty for a suit jacket, up to seven pound for a two piece suit! Excellent rates and not beaten by any local competitors. I have had dry cleaning done in other places nearby and they weren't as cheap or as quick as Aigburth Dry Cleaners. Like many of the shops around the Lark Lane area of Aigburth this place has an excellent community feel. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome and valued as a customer.
